Such as Emend, Fentanyl or other meds someone has to take while on Chemo

You need to tell your doc. If you are smoking, you NEED a strong antiviral. You could also get the script for marinol, which is synthetic thc, much purer than any weed you will find onthe street, legal, paid for by your insurance (hopefully) and is at a regulated dosage. Basically, it is just safer if you are upfront with your doc. And they will understand. I was nervous to tell my docs too, but as it turned out they already knew from toxicology reports on my blood tests measuring levels of narcotics making sure they werent over medicating me.

I know of at least two transplant patients (whose immune systems are suppressed to prevent rejection of the new organ) who died after developing fungal infections of the lung from smoking pot.

I don't know if your chemo will affect the same part of your immune system, but I agree that you need to tell your docs and find out. It's certainly not a high worth dying for.

I'm only familiar with Fentanyl, but I imagine marijuana would heighten the effects of the fentanyl.

yes, it does, and not always for the better...discuss the use of it with your oncologist.
