I usually get home after school and feel depressed. Therefore I don't feel like getting out of the house or doing anything really. I have a soccer class in school, we run but I just don't push myself hard enough. I come home and eat until I feel sick enough to stop. During the weekends is alot worse. Probably gain 5-10 lbs. I think it's just been a bad year and I feel depressed and want to take my anger out on food. Every weekend I say, "I need to go on a diet." But it just get's worse.

Any ways to change the way I eat and the way I feel about my weight? Help me live a healthier life!

Try cutting back gradually. 1600 a day to start. Then drop 100 calories a week until you're at 1200 a day. Always "think healthy first". Try fruit instead of giving into junk food snacks. Most fruits have a very high water content so they can make you feel fuller without gobbling a ton of empty calories. They also have a lot vitamins and minerals everyone can use especially when making big lifestyle changes. That combined with 30 to 40 minutes of exercise everyday should have you losing 2 to 3 healthy pounds a week. So start walking, then walk/jogging until you can do the whole 30 minutes without a rest. That will give you lasting results without starving yourself. Eat what you like. Of course healthier is better but not everyone is the salad and tofu type. Just keep a journal of everything you eat with the calorie count. That will give you and idea of where you need to make changes. Making lasting lifestyle changes takes time so be patient but firm with yourself...once things settle down for you , weight management will become easier as well...good luck

My best advice:

Don't eat much lettuce. For some reason it seems to cause people to yo-yo diet which is bad for you.

Eat four meals a day. Each meal should contain a lean protein such as turkey or chicken without the skin, a fruit or vegetable for vitamins, and a carbohdyrate such as a whole wheat roll, rice, or pasta. Use a small amount of fat to make the above taste better. Maybe some olive oil on the wheat roll, for example.

Most important is exercise. Do 45 minutes per day. Join the best gym in town. It should run about 190 us dollars for enrollment and 60 bucks per month thereafter. You will more than save the money you pay for the gym in other ways (people will do small favors for you if you are in-shape, better raises, less medical expenses). Life will be easier. Also, vary the cardiovascular excercises as much as possible. Make sure the gym has good windows that let a lot of light to keep you from being depressed. Having more muscle burns more calories.

Drink one smoothie a day. Put 1/2 banana and some strawberries in a blender with some ice. Blend it.

Everyone goes to the refrigerator and looks for snacks several times a day. Don't fight that urge. Put some cherry tomatoes in your refrigerator. Before eating something else, pop 2-3 cherry tomatoes in your mouth. It will keep you from going off- course too badly. Some stores carry a variety of small tomatoes in different colors which is a good idea because the flavors are slightly different.

Best of luck

You don't stop eating to lose weight. You responsibly and sensibly eat to lose weight. Stopping eating will kill you.

What you need is an attitude adjustment. You need to make some decisions. You need to know that you are valuable and loved. You are worth the effort to take care of yourself. Know these things. Follow through with it.

Plan: start a routine that's fairly rigid. Get up at the same time each day. Go to bed at the same time each night. Try to eat at the same times each day. If you eat properly, then you won't need snacks. You'll want them but won't need them. Make exercise a part of your life. Get out of the house. You don't have to stay inside. Do chores. Cleaning can burn calories. Chop wood for someone. Do something. Just get out of the house. Further, remember that you are someone. You are important. You are loved.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Get started today!

Start getting more active, become more open to sports and more out going, try to make more friends and do stuff with them to keep your mind off of food. Try finding a healthy diet to go on, there is one that is really good, I lost weight on it, the web site is www.drjenine.com , it is a all natural diet, so it is kind of hard to get used to, you don't eat sugars, bread, anything unnatural or anything that is a fungus, plus a lot of other stuff. It is really healthy, I gave me a lot of extra energy to get out and do more.
