My father is 53yrs old living in a small country town and has suffered terrible back pain for the last 20yrs. He "broke" his back falling down stairs and then had a lumbar fusion operation. Which apparently was botched. He has had another operation since (6yrs later) but the scarring is very bad and his doctor claims that much of it is irreversable. He is on a ridiculous amount of medications including anti-depressants (a side effect of his constant pain). His doctor says there is nothing they can do, but I know this doctor to be very old and tired of life so I suspect he finds it easier to dope him up rather than find a better solution. Does anyone know a specialist in Melbourne we can go to for a second opinion?

I just recently became involved with EMS, and i bought trauma shears from a certain website, but i won't name it... the ones i got were low quality, very loose (the blades aren't close together, they're really flimsy) so i called them and they replaced them, and now the same thing is happening with the new pair...i did NOT cut through pennies with them...just some jeans and once cardboard, so i'm looking for a website to buy good, tough trauma shears from. do you know any good ones? like ones that don't get loose? is galls a good website for them?

Personally, I get quite annoyed about the commericals about the guy who said going on insulin was the hardest decision. Honestly, I didn't have a choice! I was just wondering if any other type 1 diabetics get annoyed by all those type 2's? If so, how to you deal with it? Are you also tired of explaining the difference?

Hope you enjoy this story...Pls star if you like it. Thx.

A man was sick and tired of going to work every day while his wife stayed home. He wanted her to see what he went through so he prayed: "Dear Lord: I go to work every day and put in 8 hours while my wife merely stays at home. I want her to know what I go through, so please allow her body to switch with mine for a day. Amen.
God, in his infinite wisdom, granted the man's wish.

The next morning, sure enough, the man awoke as a woman. He arose, cooked breakfast for his mate, awakened the kids, set out their school clothes, fed them breakfast, packed their lunches, drove them to school, came home and picked up the dry cleaning, took it to the cleaners and stopped at the bank to make a deposit, went grocery shopping, then drove home to put away the groceries, paid the bills and balanced the cheque book. He cleaned the cat's litter box and bathed the dog.

Then it was already 1 P.M. and he hurried to make the beds, do the laundry, vacuum, dust, and sweep and mop the kitchen floor. Ran to the school to pick up the kids and got into an argument with them on the way home. Set out milk and cookies and got the kids organized to do their homework, then set up the ironing board and watched TV while he did the ironing. At 4:30 he began peeling potatoes and washing vegetables for salad, breaded the pork chops and snapped fresh beans for supper.

After supper, he cleaned the kitchen, ran the dishwasher, folded laundry, bathed the kids, and put them to bed. At 9 P.M. he was exhausted and, though his daily chores weren't finished, he went to bed where he was expected to make love, which he managed to get through without complaint.

The next morning, he awoke and immediately knelt by the bed and said: "Lord, I don't know what I was thinking. I was so wrong to envy my wife's being able to stay home all day. Please, oh please, let us trade back."

The Lord, in his infinite wisdom, replied: "My son, I feel you have learned your lesson and I will be happy to change things back to the way they were. You'll just have to wait nine months, though. You got pregnant last night."

I really care about my girlfriend and I love her dearly and smoking is a huge turnoff for me mainly because I want her to live a long and healthy life. She doesn't smoke around me. If she were smoking cigarettes and I went to kiss her would I be able to taste it? I kiss her all the time and its "making out" not just a peck on the lips? Would someone be able to taste the breath of a marijuana smoker? Thanks!

We had a flood in our basement, and to get rid of some of the bacteria that could be starting, I used straight bleach. The smell of bleach was quite strong throughout my home. Is this dangerous?

1. I don't know what size to get, because I obviously don't know how big or small this guy is, so are the sizes so different that it would REALLY make a difference? Like the condom would be useless if it's the wrong size?
2. If it is true that there is a big difference in condom sizes, is there anywhere I can get a "variety pack" of all different sizes? haha, I know that sounds sooo slutty, but yeah...
3. I never go to the store except with my mom (even though I'm old enough to drive, I just couldn't front the cash) so where could I get some condoms? be creative, people!

My wife was having about a week of sadness between her periods and heavy bleeding during her cycle. She was told to take antidepressants by one Dr. We feel that would just mask symptoms and not get to the root of the problem. Another Dr. gave her an Rx for Prometrium, a progesterone like hormone. Have you or anyone you know taken this drug? What were the results? Any advice?

I need some good distractors to deter me from wanting to cut or pop pills, I try to push it away but the urge is just too great sometimes... I took some pills this morning as an example

I am so sick of living like this, it seems everyday is a battle between sinking back down into cutting/pill popping or continuing on just going through the motions and bottling away all the negative emotions.

Sometimes things get too much to take at once... I dunno what to do anymore, I've been "stable" for awhile, but it isn't really stable, I feel very unstable, like I wanna just snap, but it isn't snapping, it is just breaking...

I dunno how much of that makes sense but please some words of wisdom/encouragement, anything please.

There is better cleaning product that will keep you and your family safe. There is too much chemical in the outside air, so we should try to keep our home more safe.

I had one abnormal pap test in jan 2006 and in july? 2006 was told i had genital warts...
Is one abnormal pap going to have my drs write down that i have HPV in my records?
I should be getting my yearly pap test done in a month, but because of the dumb pharmacy i go to it will not do a 12 refill perscription they only do a 6. So i had my dr call another script in...and its good for another 6 months. I dont think they even looked to see when my pap test was due!?
Should I be having them more often than once a year?
My pap in july-06 was good, and the one in dec-06 was fine too.
