Two weeks ago I had sinus surgery and a septoplasty (straightening of the septum) and today, I went to have some splints removed and ever since I left I have had a bloody nose. It is not coming out fast, but it is pretty persistent and I am not sure if it is actually new blood, or just blood that was in my sinuses that is just now draining. What should I do?

I was carrying a hot bowl of soup in one hand, and a can of pop in the other. I passed by the light switch, and I decided I would turn it off with my foot. I kicked up sharply.. and.. er.. I dumped the scalding hot soup all over my stomache and legs.

The area's been red for 10 minutes now, and it hurts to walk. I've never really gotten burned before, so what am I supposed to do to help it? :0

Okay, so I was cleaning my ears yesterday and there was kind of a lot of wax because I accidentally went too long without cleaning them. Anyway once I got the ear wax out it was still a teeny bit clogged-feeling, so I put this stuff called Auro Dri in my ear to get any of the water out (I clean my ears with a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water), but now the Auro Dri is clogging my ear. How ironic. Anyway it burned a little because I'm pretty sure it's just isopropyl alcohol, and the reason it's not draining is because my ear is a little swollen. What can I do to make it come out faster? (PS, this has happened before, but I can't remember how I fixed it. Also, there's not that much stuff in it because I can still hear out of it pretty well.)

I was thinking about this the other day. Some wounds, which seem really small, still get stitched while other huge ones don't. In general, what size of a cut would require sutures?

i recently (last night) used veet hair removal gel to remove hair from my legs. around my right knee cap, it burned, blistered, and bruised my skin. It also made it bleed and created open sores in that area. It is still inflamed and red. It slightly bubbled up, last night. My mother is a nurse and said to treat it we should rinse it thoroughly with cool water. We did that. Is there anything else we can do or anything that will help soothe it. Also, will it scar my leg?

The substance may be some other type of clothing resolution and she drank the equivalent to a couple swallows I guess. She seems fine but I am worried she will get sick in a few hours. The solution was in a bottle that she marked to take to the laundry mat and in her carelessness while taking her medication she picked up the bottle and drank it.

Hello.
My sister recently got a burn on her inner forearm, about an inch and a half long, 1 centimeter wide from touching a hot skillet. It immediately blistered afterwards, but the next day, aout half of the blister was accidentally ripped off of her, leaving half of the burn exposed. She got the burn about 2 days ago, and we believe we have been treating it adequetely. Unfortunetly, looking at it today, it is obviously infected, because it has now become red and puffy around the area of contact. My question is, how exactally would we go about treating an infected burn, as to make the infection from spreading, and also to allow the burn to fully heal. Thanks a lot for your help, and a quick answer would greatly be appreciated.
Thank you.

I have a pencil eraser-sized blood blister on the tip of my middle finger that extends to beneath the nail. I read somewhere that you can use epsom salts to extract the blood safely, or a sterilized needle. I don't have a needle phobia or anything. Which method do you think is best to take care of it? Is one safer than the other?
