I broke a nail.

I never thought that I would say that. And I definatly never thought that it would hurt this much. I have a bandade on it but it doesn't seem to be working.

What else can I do?

Does anyone know if it's normal that i have from time to time a real painful feeling on my chest that moves to my back(usually left side on both) when i'm a sleep. it's so unnoying that i can't fall sleep from..i've been told it's gas which pass upwards..if so, is there anything to avoid this from happening, knowing that i've been gett' this since 24 ears. but was so rarely, now it happens almost once a month or two. i always been told by doctors that i have a lot of gases when tried to check me up, what can i do to reduce it? is there any good medicines or tablets which can help?

My ears have been bothering me for a year lately and now I'm suspecting it can be an ear infection but I'm not 100% sure about it. In the beginning I was introduced to Q-Tips and I really enjoyed using it. But ever since I've been using Q-Tips I've been tugging and scratching my ear alot because it gets extremely itchy inside of my ear. Now inside of my ear is all wet and scabby, when I scratch my ear all of this dead skin comes off but no blood. This may sound kind of wierd but when ever I move my jaw to the left or right it always makes this little *crack* sound right below my ear.

The cotton tip of the q-tip dettached from its stick, and now the cotton is in my ear. I can't feel it in my ear and there aren't any symptoms from the cotton in my ear, but I'm getting really worried about it.

I was about to quickly gab a peice of baccon out of the spaghetti sauce and my mom accidently poured it on my hand (I didn't know it was still hot but apparently it was over the boiling point of water) and now the bottom half on the back of the two middle fingers are red and puffy and hurt very badly... I put vaseline on it but it still hurts and its making my hands greasy... I don't have any burn spray and I can't go to the store? How do I stop it? I've alredy ran it under cold water.

My little brother was playing with a glow stick and it bursted in his face. The glow-in-the-dark liquid got in his eyes, and we rinsed them out thoroughly with water but now they are a little red and swollen. Should we take him to the doctor to get his eyes checked?

So a few weeks ago I got some little spikey things stuck in my toe when I was walking around in flip flops (they're the little spikes from some big sticker type things). Anyways, I thought I got them all out, but today I noticed a little black spot on my toe about where they were, and so I think there's still one there. So my question is, how can I get it out?

I have a sliver stick in my finger and it's sore. When I yank on it it doesn't come out and hurts really bad. It is just a small sliver and I don't really want to rush to the doctor for it you know?

I just returned from Romania so that may or may not have something to do with it. But it's like a tiny mouse that is trying to poke through the skin. I keep slapping it but it just keeps poking away. I'd shoot it but I'm afraid I'd blow my knee cap off.

I suppose I could go to the doctor, but I don't want to be percieved as a wuss.

Has anybody else out there had this problem?

i've got this ear pain thats really minor...but i know its a ear infection kind of pain cuz i had it last time in my other ear and that one really bad till i had to go to a doc...well i think i might have injuured the skin or sumthing cuz like 2 days ago i wuz cleaning it with my finger and then there wuz a little blood (very little).....i'm afraid that this minor ear pain will eventually worsen ...is there any way i can prevent it from happenin?will puttin olive oil work?(the doc said not to put olive oil 4 the other ear when it wuz infected,i'm not sure y....)

I just had stitches removed from a total knee replacement. One friend is urging me to keep using alcohol wipes on the dried blood to remove it while others are saying just use vitimen E because the alcohol will dry out the skin. Any suggestions?

It was on my right ear while she was playing with my hair. I use to get similar bites somewhere else but no wounds were made. Maybe since my ear's skin is a lot thinner. I went to a nearby hospital and allowed them to shoot me some first set of anti-rabies just to make sure. I rem the vet told me that it should take 5days after my puppy's shot before she'd be totally fine. So I was a little scared. Should I continue with the costly and horrible SHOTS? Please advice. Thanks!

Like I said, the very top part of my ear gets inflamed, making it swell up quite a bit, to the point where it really starts to hurt and I have to lance it myself. It then bleeds like mad for a while, and after two or three pokes...about one a day...it settles back down, giving me a year or so of peace. The last time I did it, it really bled like mad and it had me pretty worried. And after it was all said and done, I had a little crater where the piece of plastic used to be, making me think the horror was finally over. A couple of months went by, and now I feel the lump again. This is a big hassle for me, and it has to stop.

I was thinking about going to a doctor and having him look at it. Any thoughts of what he might do or anything else I can do to make it go away?
