First Aid

I pulled a weed without any gloves, not realizing it had TONS of really tiny thorns on it. It hurt REALLY bad where my fingers got pricked. It felt like a thousand bees stung me. Now, it doesn't have the same intense pain, but instead I keep feeling this prickling sensation going through my hand.
Any suggestions or advice? (Besides to wear gloves next time!)

welll last week i hit my finger on my locker and i scraped some of my skin off. While i was sleeping the next day i scratched the scab of and then this purple lump came up. It hurts when i press on it too! well today i accidentaly scratched it again and this white liquid came up! around the scab som of my skin is white.i think it was puss. Is the scrape infected or is this a boil??
I DONT KNOW WUT IT IS??!

Correction fluid bottle was left on the floor and my dog chewed on it. It wasn't until later that I found out. The whole bottle (the small sized one) was already deformed because of the chewing and the liquid was all over the floor. I am worried that she probably licked it. Although it was definitely inhaled. I need EMERGENCY measures. We're bringing her to the vet tomorrow, since any earlier would be beyond my control. Please give your opinions. I feel I am to blame..

I remember being told to use peroxide on acne, but I prefer alcohol. Is the peroxide better?

I cut myself on my upper thigh. The cuts are pretty deep, so they keep bleeding through all my pants. I've been tying pairs of really long socks around my leg to stop the bleeding, and its already soaked through two. It's slowed down, but every time I walk one burst and it starts soaking through my pants. Now I don't know what to do?? How can I make it stop reopening? I don't want anyone to know, so I can't just leave it alone... Any help is deeply appreciated. Thank you.

I have an ear infection, and I was perscribed oral antibiotics last week. I've been taking them for 6 days, but my hearing is still muffled, and I'm still getting discharge from my ear. The last time I had an ear infection, my hearing cleared up right away, but I was also perscribed ear-drops that time. Is it normal that my hearing is still muffled? How long does it normally take to clear? Should I go back and ask my doctor for eardrops?

It seemed quite swollen to start but has gotten less over the last 2 days. The skin wasn't originally a different colour in the area but it a bit pink now? Could it have been caused by a bee sting or other bug? She was stung by a bee in the summer on her ear and her whole face got terribly swollen. Could it be a thyroid tumor even though it is now less swollen?

Is it normal to feel nauseous and faint when you feel certain pains or see certain things?? When I got my belly pierced, I felt like fainting and I got super pale. This lasted for almost 5 minutes. Same thing happened when I got a tetanus shot. It also happened when I saw the doctor draining fluid from my son's spine. Is this normal?? Is this what you call a "weak stomach"?

I burned myslef probably 4 hours ago on my hand from taking a skillet out of the oven and the pot holderbeing too low... I held on to the skillet for probably 5 seconds because i didn't want to drop it... I think it is a second degree burn... should it still be burning very bad right now... Especially if I put aloe on it and blow it, it doesn't hurt very bad until the aloe dries and then it starts burning again like I just took the skillet off of it... I'm wondering what I can do now because it's on my hand about where it bends and I do almost everything with this hand.. What can I do to stop the pain?

My two-year-old picked up a (clean) wine glass from the counter when I was doing dishes and pretended to swallow from it. He must have bit down, because it broke - a clean piece of glass broke right off. I obviously snatched it right away from him, and he hasn't complained since (it's been about ten minutes) but now I'm completely freaked out that he could have swallowed fragments of glass. Thankfully it wasn't like it shattered into a lot of bits - just one large piece came off - but still, there could have been small glass shards. I looked in his mouth after and didn't see anything. Does anyone have any recommendations? I would feel foolish rushing off to the emergency room with him when he seems perfectly happy...

My 11 month daughter has had diarrhea due to a stomach bug, so she has got such a sore are raw bottom
ive been letting her go without a diaper for bits at a time, putting a&d ointment and powder on it and also a warm rag when i change her diaper.
nothing is helping.
anything else i can do? she keeps waking up crying cause it hurts so bad.
