Correction fluid bottle was left on the floor and my dog chewed on it. It wasn't until later that I found out. The whole bottle (the small sized one) was already deformed because of the chewing and the liquid was all over the floor. I am worried that she probably licked it. Although it was definitely inhaled. I need EMERGENCY measures. We're bringing her to the vet tomorrow, since any earlier would be beyond my control. Please give your opinions. I feel I am to blame..

Dogs tend to eat many strange things and survive... It doesn't sound like he drank the whole bottle... I highly doubt that such a common item would be extremely poisonous in very small amounts.

Anything you eat gets digested within about 4 hours. Taking your dog to the vet the next day for this would just be a complete waste of money and I wouldn't do it. If the dog's fine in the next few hours, he'll be fine... There's absolutely nothing the vet could or would do about something he ate, digested and passed already.

Accidents happen... dogs get into things they aren't supposed to a lot. Don't blame yourself. Did you read the bottle? What does it say about being toxic if swallowed?

Call your dogs vet and explain what happened... they may have some suggestions for you. Other than that, just pay close attention to your dog, watch her closely. Is she still eating? Still playing like usual? Still eager to go outside to go to the bathroom? Any unusual vommitting? As long as her personality remains the same, she should be fine until tomorrow, but it wouldn't hurt to call the vet and ask for their opinion.

Hope this helps. :-)

After the correction, your dog will have a semicolon.

Yeah, I know, that's not very helpful, but it was too good to pass up.

Seriously, the other suggestions here about calling a vet and keeping an eye on your dog are right on the money. If she didn't ingest too much of it, there may be no adverse effects.

Call your vet right now and ask them how to proceed. Waiting until tomorrow could be too late.

Do not induce vomiting. For humans, it specifically says NOT to do that.

Call your vet - they will be able to tell you exactly what you need to do.

go to the store, look on a brand new bottle... it might have emergency contact info [for humans at least]... try asking them.
