Like I said, the very top part of my ear gets inflamed, making it swell up quite a bit, to the point where it really starts to hurt and I have to lance it myself. It then bleeds like mad for a while, and after two or three pokes...about one a day...it settles back down, giving me a year or so of peace. The last time I did it, it really bled like mad and it had me pretty worried. And after it was all said and done, I had a little crater where the piece of plastic used to be, making me think the horror was finally over. A couple of months went by, and now I feel the lump again. This is a big hassle for me, and it has to stop.

I was thinking about going to a doctor and having him look at it. Any thoughts of what he might do or anything else I can do to make it go away?

You should definitely go to a doctor and soon. It will get infected bad. It's only a matter of time before some sort of infection sets up and causes bacteria to enter your system and kills you.

You seriously HAVE TO GO TO THE DOCTOR! They need to take it out immediately before the worse happens and it will annoy the hell out of you then the other time it did lol The plastic in your ear could probably cause hearing damage if the infection gets to your ear drum or the inside of your ear lol If its still bleeding really bad the only way is to put pressure on it with a gauze or some paper towels lol and go to the doctor to get it professionally removed before you screw up your ear more then ever lol

There's nothing you can go right now except to go to a doctor. That plastic must be removed.

What you can do now is to keep your ears clean, to prevent infection, and seek advise from your doctor.

If you don't see a doctor, one day, you might get a serious infection, worst if your brain is infected. It can cause death.

All the best to you.

The ear is a very sensitive and important part of our body. The doctors have special instruments, tweezers etc. to remove such foreign matters. Never try to pull it out yourself. What made you to ignore it all these years is difficult to comprehend.

there could be a piece of the plastic still embedded in your ear,the doctor will probably look into your ear with an otoscope to see whats in there,if he/she finds anything then it will be removed
