I was about to quickly gab a peice of baccon out of the spaghetti sauce and my mom accidently poured it on my hand (I didn't know it was still hot but apparently it was over the boiling point of water) and now the bottom half on the back of the two middle fingers are red and puffy and hurt very badly... I put vaseline on it but it still hurts and its making my hands greasy... I don't have any burn spray and I can't go to the store? How do I stop it? I've alredy ran it under cold water.

First of all, Vaseline was one of the worse things you can put on a burn. Anything oily holds in the heat. With a burn that extensive, you need to go to the doctor NOW. Infection is real, and the skin can continue to burn several minutes after you remove it from the source. Put cool, wet compresses on the burn and get to a doctor.

Firstly put it under cold running water for up to 20 minutes. Do not put Vaseline on it as that will trap the heat. Cover the burn with cling wrap to prevent further damage and go to the doctor. You have a partial thickness burn that needs medical attention. If you get an infection in the burn all hell will break loose and you will be in a lot of pain. Do not wrap the cling wrap on the burn put it lengthways and then it won't tighten on the burn.

Vaseline is the worst thing you can do. Put your hand into cold water and keep it there. Burns continue to burn for hours. The cool water will help. It helped me to sleep with my hand in cold water all night. Burns can also get infected very easily. Do not remove any skin. See a doctor to help prevent infection. Do the water now. It will save you hours of pain.

what ever you do, do not put vaseline on a burn, grease traps heat, one of the worst things you can do on a burn, you can take some sort of acetaminophen or asprin it will not help much for pain, but helps with swelling. and what ever you do dont bust any blisters, popping a blister not only will hurt a hole lot more than what your feeling now but you also put your self at risk of getting your burn site infected, you will still feel the burn for the next few hours but will go away, what happens when you burn yourself is you not only burn your skin you also burn tissue and muscle, well muscle is a type of tissue (fibrous tissue) put ice compress on it, if its a 2nd or 3rd degree burn i suggest you seek medical attn...

You can go to the staples store and buy a couple of cans of computer keyboard dust spray cans.
TURN IT UPSIDE DOWN TO SPRAY and spray them on your hadN, as much as you can take at a time. It is pretty much freezing, so you will feel no pain at all, but go easy with it.
I find that if you use it early on it kills the burning totally.
I dont know if you use it the next day if it will do anything but make no pain.
I always keep some cause I always burn myself when I cook.

first of all wash the vaseline off your hands it's trapping the heat.... The only thing you really can do is to run the fingers under cool/cold water.. Do NOT use ice.. If it blisters Do NOT pop blisters cover with bandage and leave alone...Maybe use some alone for the pain.. Take an asprin for the swelling/pain... good luck

It's hard to tell without looking at it. It's probably a 2nd degree burn from the sound of it. If you keep putting aloe vera on it, it should be OK. Blistering is normal. If it doesn't get better, see an MD.

Vaseline is a petroleum product and wil make it blister. Hold ice on it for awhile if the burning doesn't stop or the skin blisters or looks like it is coming off the a trip to the ER is in order.
