I've had a piece of glass stuck in my finger for over a year now and it seems to have healed without any infections. I can feel the piece of glass in my finger. I was wondering if it will get any worse and if it will stay there the rest of my life. Any suggestions on what to do?

But is wasn't those tiny normal black ones, it was this really humongous one, like twice or three times the size of the normal one. Is there really any difference though? Are ant bites poisonous because this my first time ever getting a bite and I felt it right away...

A few years back, I broke my foot. I had a pin put in and had to have 2 surgeries - one to put it in and one to take it out. Before I went for my second surgery, I had a bug bite on my foot and, long story a little shorter, it got infected. It wasn't too bad, so I performed the "do it yourself" fix of peroxide, neosporin, and a small bandage.
When I went to the doctor for my final checkup before my 2nd surgery, he told me this:
"You're not supposed to put ointment on an infection on your feet because the bacteria on the foot is anerobic and the ointment helps it grow"
What does everyone else think?
I can see how this is possible, but yet it doesn't make sense at the same time.
What should I have done? soapy water and a bandage to let it get some air?

Thanks!

Mosquitos are attracted to me like hell. If I'm in a place full of mosquitos, I'll get 5 bites whilst the other person will get 1. I have a backyard that I refuse to go near, but my parents insist on keeping the porch door wide open so the "fresh air" will get in, along with a million of those horrible winged needles. There's nothing I can do to convince my parents to keep it closed. I have 20+ bites on my arms and legs, and can't stop scratching to the bleeding point. Now it looks like they're scarred, and even though I did stop scratching, many weeks have passed and they're not going away; I'll have to start school in long pants. I've tried something called AfterBite, it doesn't help at all and all the toxic repellents work for about 3 hours. I'm told to keep myself in my room and keep the door closed, and even so, they keep getting in and I see them every day. Don't tell me to "stop scratching", I need info on mosquito scars and how to keep em away, etc. Please help, I'm desperate!
