My girlfriend and daughter are riddled with bites at the moment. Is there any shampoo of shower gel or anything like that on the market which may make them less appatising to all form of creepy crawly?

Avon has a product to put on the skin after bathing/showering called "Skin So Soft" that does a pretty good job of repelling insects and you still smell okay. The best product is Deet which is in most insect repellents. They need to use this. I have the same problem. Also, make sure they cover up. Mosquitos are the worst at sunrise and sunset. All biting insects are the worst in summer weather.

I am also a delicacy for mosquitoes... I try to make sure to cover my body up with some clothing. I don't like the insect repellants on my skin so I usually spray it onto my clothes (they can just be thrown into the washer) and a spritz or two in the hair. They tend to bite a lot less. Remember to wear socks and spray at ankle level too!

if the bites are coming form midgies and such then just use an insect repellant to discourage bites, an antihistamine to treat the ones they've got and close your windows before dark as that is when they are most active, that way they can't come in your house.

if you are unsure where they are coming from and jusr have a lot of bit marks it could be scabies, little mites that live under the skin, they are really common and a cream off the doctoe will fix it, scabies is contageous by the way

Taking an odourless garlic tablet everyday will cure this as the insects can smell it even though we can't.
Apply tea tree oil in water to the bites themselves as this will ease the itching and reduce inflammation and infection. Tea tree oil is a natural antiseptic.

Try an AFTER BITE PEN you can get them from the chemist/ supermarkets the cost is approx £5. this is a solution that will sting on first application BUT it does work on the bites. As for replant Jungle formula is one of the best on the market applied as to the manufactures instructions.
some replant CAN DAMAGE your clothing please read the instructions carefully

You can get insect repellant spray & wipes although I found that the allergic reaction I had to the wipes was far worse than the insect bites would have been!!!!

People with serious allergies to insect bites can buy emergency kits (suck as EpiPen) to cut off systemic reactions.

Skintastic (think it used to be Avon's Skin So Soft product) is nice and gentle, but Deep Woods Off is stronger if they're going to be outside often. Has a rather unpleasant smell though.
