It started about yesterday, will it go away on its own? Thanks! :)

I should add, its an "internal sty" wich means its under my eyelid. Will it still go away on its own?

There's not a whole lot you can do about a stye...some people will tell you to take antibiotic eyedrops but that's usually for more severe cases with a lot of pain and swelling. Most of them go away on their own. You can apply a warm compress to your eye a few times a day to help draw it out faster and to ease pain.

You can try some of the over the counter products for styes. They sell several brands at your local drug store, and they are mostly all pretty good. They help moisturize the eye and take out some of the pain. And while you are doing that, take a hot washcloth (as hot as you can stand it) and place it over your infected eye at least 3-4 times/day for about 10-15 minutes. That should help with the pain too. My daughter use to get stys and this is how we dealt with it. It usually works. However, If after a couple days you don't feel relief, you probably need antibiotic eye drops which can be perscribed by your doctor.

it will go away if you apply warm, moist compress to it as often as you possibly can during the day
take a washcloth and soak it with water, squeeze out the excess, fold in fourths then microwave for 15 seconds and apply to sty...if it is too hot-take it off but try to make it as hot as you can stand but don't get it so hot that it burns your skin off!
the sooner you do this-the more successful
if you wait until that sty is too hard to dissolve with warm, moist compresses then the eye doctor will have to take a needle to it

A sty will go away on it's own. The best thing to do is apply warm compresses to help the pain, swelling and redness, NEVER go to sleep wearing makeup and always wash your hands with anti-bacterial soap.

Sorry to assert a black belt does not recommend lots of something presently. Too many belt factories obtainable. some years in the past while i become in my 50's and an orange belt in TKD. by way of fact of my age and weight i become in many cases sparring black belts at community tournaments. Out of each and all the tournaments I competed in I basically lost one around, no longer a experience basically one around as an orange belt. it is so undesirable now community faculties don't have community competitions anymore. it fairly is pitiful the only opposition I ever lost to are from our own college. so a strategies as self protection I see the countless maximum stupid self protection training at different faculties. I see scholars being taught issues that gets you laughed at and worse on the line. i think of the time has come for martial arts to redefine objectives. people who anticipate classic education could be waiting to locate the real deal. people who're basically searching for a kick boxing exercising consultation could realize it ain't self protection or martial arts it basically is what it fairly is.

I was going to answer this one, but the nurses and Kat have definitely given you the best advice of all. I used to get these when I was much younger and know they are uncomfortable and a bit embarrassing. Good luck to you!

Try a warm compress, they used to help mine. What ever you do, don't pop it. It look like a pimple but it is noting more than a clogged up tear duct and the warm compress will help open it.

yes, it will. apply warm moist compresses to speed circulation and provide comfort, stys do resolve on their own, usually in about a week.

Ususally they do and it could take up to two weeks, but if it keeps getting worse, then you will need treatment. I just went through it myself and mine did not go away on it's own!
