Mosquitos are attracted to me like hell. If I'm in a place full of mosquitos, I'll get 5 bites whilst the other person will get 1. I have a backyard that I refuse to go near, but my parents insist on keeping the porch door wide open so the "fresh air" will get in, along with a million of those horrible winged needles. There's nothing I can do to convince my parents to keep it closed. I have 20+ bites on my arms and legs, and can't stop scratching to the bleeding point. Now it looks like they're scarred, and even though I did stop scratching, many weeks have passed and they're not going away; I'll have to start school in long pants. I've tried something called AfterBite, it doesn't help at all and all the toxic repellents work for about 3 hours. I'm told to keep myself in my room and keep the door closed, and even so, they keep getting in and I see them every day. Don't tell me to "stop scratching", I need info on mosquito scars and how to keep em away, etc. Please help, I'm desperate!

Put on insect repellent with deet, move out, and don't scratch because they scars may never leave. You may also get impetigo.

Arien, not only can you get those ever-so-annoying bites that itch like the dickens, but you can get meningitis, West Nile disease, and lots of other serious illnesses. Do some Internet research on mosquitoes and print it out for your parents.

You can re-apply the deet-based bug repellent when you need it, as listed on the label directions.

Your parents can have screens put up so the bugs don't get inside, and the air does. It will also keep out all sorts of other bugs and spiders that can come in when you don't have screens.

I feel so bad that no one has answered but, i have a natural repellent to mosquitos. Maybe, just maybe ( and i mean maybe), if you eat a whoooooole bunch of pickles, it will make your blood sour. So sour, mosquitos will try to eat you instead of suck you
