My daughter just got stung by a bee. She will be 2 in Oct. What should I do? How do I know if she's allergic?

1] scrape the stinger out with your nail or the side of a credit card [ don't use tweezers - squeezing the stinger actually injects more venom! ]
2] wash it with soap and water
3] wet a bandaid, put a dab of meat tenderizer on it, and tape over sting site [ breaks down the proteins in the venom ]
4] apply ice until it starts feeling better
WARNING SIGNS:[ go to ER immediately ]
shortness of breath
swelling
blotches farther away from sting
decreased vision
disorientation
loss of consciousness

Do you have some meat tenderizer? Make a paste of it with a bit of water and apply it to the sting. It will help with the pain etc. If she was allergic she would have trouble breathing by now. She'll be fine.

The sting will swell some and be painfull. Use ice on it and relax. If she is allergic, sh would already be in dire straits. Besides, it is usally the second sting that causes trouble. The first one the body builds the anibodies and the second shows the allergy. If you are still concerned, call your doctor.

When i got stung i would make sure that the stinger is out. if not. slide it out with a credit card. Then you should get baking soda and mix it with water till it makes a past, put it on the stung area. it will help teh swelling, redness, and hurtingness to go down!
