Nah. I had a piece break off years ago, the side of a tooth that was filled when I was a kid. it's fine, nothing to worry about if it doesn't bother you, cause pain, or leave a hole in your gum- although a denti$t will disagree... wonder why they'd want to do $ome work on you...

A broken tooth is open to bacteria, and any chip or break is an invitation to infection. Go to the dentist and have it repaired, before it weakens more, and you lose too much to repair. Then they will have to do a root canal for $800. and a crown for another $800. Don't think you can avoid it, because the reason the tooth broke off in the first place is it was weakened by the decay it already had. The decay might have spread under the filling, and that needs to be removed. Either way you better see the dentist.

It should be looked at by a dentist. A tooth that has broken off is inherently weaker than an intact tooth. It sounds like you might have had a root canal in that tooth so it's a dead tooth anyway. Dead teeth are more brittle and break off easier than healthy teeth. You should get it looked at because more pieces of the tooth could come off and it could get too badly damaged to be repaired.

yep!!! put bees wax on the opening for now and keep it clean. get some "ACT" fluoride rinse until you can see a dentist. its very important to fix this or it will cost hundred and lots of pain to your brain and strain your wallet. seek dental assistance right away. if you let it go you could get very sick and you might look real ugly . please go fix it before it makes you real ugh-ly!

I'd make an appointment with your Dentist ASAP. Where it may not hurt now, it may start later.
