I am in a postition where i can no longer smoke marijuana. I have used it in the past for anxiety and depression in small doses and have never had to go to the doctor for any other perscription. Any advise? Thanks.

I washed my clothes in a public laundry and when I brought them home I found that a piece of underwear belonging to a female was in with them ( this obviously was not mine). It must have been in the drum and I mustn't have checked it throughly. I washed my underwear and bedsheets in this wash at 40 degrees. Do you think I could catch crabs or herpes from the underwear if the person was infected. I only did a 40 degree wash- I think most bacteria are denatured at 60 degrees.

Last weekend I visited my best friend in Chicago and ended up getting completely wasted and stupidly sleeping with this guy friend of hers. It wasn't until the morning that we realized we hadn't used protection. I can't lose these butterflies in my stomach, so I checked online for an ovulation calculator, knowing my last period started 10/15/07 and my cycle is between 28-29 days. Turns out the EXACT day we had sex was the highest fertility date of my ovulation cycle so now I'm freaking. Does anyone know how likely someone is to get pregnant on their Highest Fertility Date?

Please don't chastize me, I'm not a kid anymore. I just did something very stupid and I feel like now I'm paying for it. Thanks for any help you all can be. And just FYI, I would never use the morning after pill or get an abortion.

Can a doctor tell if someone has an infection just by feeling the face? Like can someones cheeks feel tender to the doctor, or can a forehead feel swollen to a doctor, or can you feel lumps in the temples or anything that can be seen with the naked eye or felt by hand?

Someone I know has Fibromyalgia and is on Kadian (morphine). She tried to make a doctor appointment for two weeks, and could not get in until 3 days before her prescription ran out.
She gets her prescriptions through the mail and they take at least a week to get here.
She asked the doctor to fill a prescription at the pharmacy for a week's supply morphine sulfate (which is much cheaper than Kadian) , just until her Kadian arrived in the mail.
The doctor refused to fill the prescription, even though she was going to run out of medication.
As you know, Morphine is a narcotic, and people who abruptly stop taking it have severe withdrawal symptoms.
My question is, is there anything she can do to get the doctor to fill a prescription until her Kadian arrives?
What are her legal rights as a chronic pain patient and morphine user?

I'm 25 and I've always had irregular periods. I never know when its coming. My periods are really heavy with severe cramps. I have PMS also. For those people who say PMS does not exist, they have not met me. I get extremely emotional right before my period. I can burst out crying or I can get extremely angry. Sometimes I get severely depressed. But I have no reason to be depressed! I get food cravings and I get really tired. While I'm on my period I also get diahrrea and neausea. I went to the gyno for the first time this summer to see if there is something wrong w/ me and the Nurse Practicitioner told me to take birth control pills. I refused to take it since my mother was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. But this month I had my period the 2nd week of Oct and now I have my period again. It started 2 days ago and its heavy like a normal period and I feel absolutely horrible. Should I be freaking out?

Lately, I've been thirsty...almost all the time. Tonight in a two hour period I drank three bottled waters, and was still thirsty. I'll sit down to watch TV (usually about a 2 hour period at night) and can go through a jug of water (I don't know...probably 1 1/2 litres or so). I'll also wake up about two times during the night and be soooo thirsty...I usually keep a waterbottle by my bed, so, I mean, it's a temporary fix, but why am I so thirsty all the time?

My grandma has diabetes, and I was checked a couple years ago.

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I am soooo tired in the mornings (the past two days I've fallen asleep in my morning class, even though I'm getting up around 8 and going to sleep around 11 the night before), but at night I just want to keep going. I don't know if this could be blood sugar related or not.

Anyway, if anyone could tell me if this sounds like possible diabetes (or anything else for that matter), I'd really appreciate it.

Ok so im 15 i play sports daily and today in weight training class before going to do weights i joged about a mile and when i went to do lunges my knees got a sharp pain right in the middle. I only feel the pain when i bend my knee alot like doing a squat, i dont feel it when i walk normal or run. It hurts alot and makes a clicking sound when i bend and unbend it. I want 2 know what the problem is. thanks

I've been on Wellbutrin for depression for about 3 months, and it has greatly affected my libido, and my sexual preferences in general. I have no sex drive whatsoever, and I don't feel sexually attracted even in the slightest way to anyone. At this point, I'd say I'm verging on asexuality, but since its only started since I've been taking the medication, I'm hoping its just a phase and will pass. Has this happened to anyone else; Wellbutrin is advertised for NOT causing a decrease in sex drive. Does anyone have any tips for what I can do to "appreciate" men again, my life has become excruciatingly mundane now that attraction has fallen off the map. And don't tell me to watch porn, I don't need that kind of a jump start. Thanks

I just had a gynocological exam and I'm guessing he did a pap test, coz he scraped my insides with a tiny wood stick.

Is it normal that, since the exam, it hurts and burns like a urine infection when I go pee? lower stomach pain?

I keep blaming this on the fact that I'm getting older, and it may be hormonal, but I don't think so. My mom had anxiety attacks and perhaps I'm in denial that I "simply CAN'T have them as well", but maybe it's mental... Or maybe it's hormonal. My Mom started menopaus at 33... I'm about that age... Is it mental or could I seriously be having menopausal issues? I hate that I've lost my confidence and poise. I am trying to be the rock I normally am, but I start shaking & my heart starts beating HARD and I can't even pick a pen up to write my name. It happens constantly; it's not an isolated experience. So much so, that I fear writing my name. I fear writing... What the heck!!! Why do I shake?? Why do I notice it? I'm so scared to go to the DR because I probably won't be able to write my name... I hate this. I have kids that I may disappoint because I shake. I don't know why I do it, and I know my heart races when it happens; then I can't write and I want to cry. Anxiety?

I'm afraid I have oral herpes, but the bumps aren't exactly what I've read described.

Yet, I don't want to falsely comfort myself. What other possibilities are there? Bumps on the lips usually mean only one thing, right?

I haven't did it with a girl or kissed or anything since the end of August, yet these are just showing up.

i was wondering if at all possible to get drafted as a college "freshman" in football, if i already have 2 other years of college. as of right now, i'm in my second year as a auto mechanic student. i was a high school star and my love for football is coming back too. so i was wondering, seeing how you usually have to have 3 years of college, im going to complete 2 years here, and go to a university. so can i get drafted when after my freshman year at a university?

please, no dumb question regarding my skills. i just wanna know, wether it's possible or not. in the days, i was pretty good...i weigh about 200, about 5'10' to 6', ran the 40 in about 4.4-4.5. i stayed in shape too. i know freshmen in college hardly gets playing time, but let's say i show em im the real deal and i get scouted. yea, thanks.

In the past few weeks i have been feeling quite fatigued, i still force myself to do the exercise i normally do (runs, walks ) and my muscles are very sore. its not like im doing more excersice than normally i have been doing regular runs for the past 3-4 months

I get head aches all the time

Ive been more thirsty than normal

I have been more tiered and been needing more sleep than i normally have

I Am 15 and have eaten quite alot of sugar... im not fat either im just normal size

I went to my doc. last week and had another blood test to see if my hemoglobi levels have improved and of course they had not..... My doc. called me today and tod me that i had SEVERE IRON DEFICENCY and that she wanted me to come tomorrow!! I am worried what she is going to do!!

I have been taking iron pills twice a day for 6 months and my levels have not improved so i am worried what else she can do to help raise my levels!! My hemoglobin levels stay at around 7.2!!! Since the pill are not working what else might she try!!

What other tests do you think she will do i am worried and i am so tired of having my blood drawn every 2-3 weeks to test my levels!! What can i do to help raise my levels

I am a 17 year old female and i am not overweight and i don't have heavy periods so i am not sure what the proble is!!!

I am just worried about tomorrow and why she wanted me to come in so soon when i have an app. in 2 weeks!! Please help me calm down i am scared!!

After my brother in law told me that his wife is very ill now, she can't stop upchucking and unable to get any solid food down, and that has been 4 days, two days in the hospital so far.. and she is diabetic, along with renal failure, congestive heart failure.. will she be alright?? What can happen to her if she doesn't improve??? I've been watching her health deteriorate over the past year, it is so sad!!!
