Use sunscreen, eat lots of fruits and vegetables, limit red meat, take a good multi vitamin, exercise, keep a healthy weight. Once you reach certain ages, get your colonoscopies, mammograms, pap smears, watch for changes in skin. The secret to beating cancer is early detection. I know, I'm a survivor!

Take resveratrol. oldsouthwinery.com, vitacost.com. MD Anderson Cancer Center has done studies and the stuff works. My friend was given 3 months to live and stopped on 3rd chemo of 11 and only takes this stuff and that is over two years ago. There is a 60 page report and you must put in "resveratrol preclinical and clinical studies". You can also put in the doctor "aggarwal resveratrol" The stuff works on just about every cancer. Even correct DNA. It's natural. Chinese and Japanese use the root of the knot weed plant and the other use the muscadine grape. But check it out. I use it for pain as I have rupture disc and as as a preventative.Take care. Drug companies not useing it becasue natural and they cannot charge an arm and leg, but it works read the reports and start taking it.

First answer pretty much says it all but as well as that not smoking and avoiding cigarette smoke would be a huge help.

Antioxidants like vitamins C and E may limit your risk.
