I'm afraid I have oral herpes, but the bumps aren't exactly what I've read described.

Yet, I don't want to falsely comfort myself. What other possibilities are there? Bumps on the lips usually mean only one thing, right?

I haven't did it with a girl or kissed or anything since the end of August, yet these are just showing up.

Herpes typically is little blisters that quickly become ulcers. Bumps may well be something else. Hold your face next to the screen and I will examine them (which means, see a doctor).

Oral herpes are not caused by the exact strain of virus that causes genital herpes. Cold sores on the lips are caused by herpes simplex 1 and it is very common. Herpes Simplex 2 causes genital herpes and is spread through unprotected sex.

Interestingly enough, chicken pox is also caused by a strain of the herpes simplex virus
