I am 18 and I'll be undergoing a circumcision soon due to relative phimosis. How long should I expect the recovery time to be, is there going to be anything I should avoid doing, and did anyone regret getting circumcised?

For the last couple of days I have not been able to sleep. If I do sleep it is about 5 am and I have to get ready for school and stuff at 7, even then I keep waking up. Is there any at home remedies to help with this?

A personal friend of mine has had this disease for a number of years and I was wondering at possible treatments for it. She doesn't want to resort to radioactive iodine or surgical removal of the gland and has already tried acupunture as well as chinese herbs. Has anyone heard of any other methods of treatment?

ever since i had pneumoina, i've had a cough, its landed me in the e.r 3 times plus i was just in the hospital for a week, i was negative for pertusis and tuberculosis but it kind of sounds like a whopping cough, my pulminolgist doesnt know what it is, i'm 17 and very active and its hard to do daily tasks when i'm coughing almost all the time, anybody know what it can be?

I find that when I think about my own death or myself committing suicide, it has a calming effect and many times leaves me feeling content or even happy. Could this be caused by a chemical imbalance in my brain or is it normal to think and feel this way? Also, should I get help or try and ride this out. I have been like this for about 5 years and so far it has not affected me.

I have been really sad or depressed for a long time now at least since last year or somewhere around there. Now it seems like things are getting worse. I cry about everything, sleep a lot, don't want to do anything, and sometimes over eat or not eat at all. I can't talk to anyone about anything. I want help but I can't talk to anyone. Not even my friends or parents. They are too judging. Is there anything I can do to help myself?

I have fibromyalgia and allready have tried numerous pain management avenues. So far, what has worked best is a strict percocet doseage, yoga, swimming, walking, hypnotism....but my doc and I haven't found a muscle relaxant that works best....used flexeril up to soma and seemingly every NSAID.....what are the strongest muscle relaxants and NSAIDs? We FINALLY found a med combo so I can sleep, but I still wake up stiff and like my body is on fire head to toe - muscle spasms in back and neck, tender points in hips and knees and thighs; some days even if I or someone else touches my skin, it hurts. Headaches and pain in face and skin are helped by the percocet - although it doesn't make me feel "high", just relief, probably like a regular person with a normal headache feels after taking excederine. Anyway, I'd like to go into my next appointment with some good suggestions for the strongest muscle relaxants and NSAIDs. PLEASE help. I'm doing everything else right to manage pain.

i got a toothe pulled 1 week ago but i ignored the doctor and smoked anyway ....when i got home i checked on the internet about this dry socket stuff which before that day i never heard of it .lol after reading how bad and painfull it is i allmost dropped a load in my pants...since it has been a week and i have no signs i dont think am i outa danger ?

I just got strep throat....again..... and I was just curious, why is it so painful if it's just some little microscopic bacteria?? How can something so small physically affect my entire throat? I know pain is built into us to let us know when something is wrong, injury, infection, etc. but is the pain from strep bacteria from my body telling me it's infected or is the bacteria itself causing pain by attacking/excretion/poison/etc??? same thing with any type of infection, it's always more painful when infected..... why?

I recently started having all these wierd things going on. Cant sleep, overeat, and cry over every little thing. Iv started the process of talking to a therapist about all these issues that i know i need to address. although i havent seen her yet. for a long time now. iv had only what i can describe as adrenaline rushes. especially at night when i start thinking about things that basically have me talking to a therapist and put on lexapro. My heart starts beating hard and fast and my body feels tense. what is that??

My 13 year old son had 7 teeth pulled yesterday. I was so surprised today he had no swelling. He went to bed early but just got up and now his face looks like a fat guy. Is it normal to have delayed swelling like this or do I have need to be concerned? Could there be infection?

I have a denture that came out while I was trying to tighten it - in other words, I was messing w/ it when I probably shouldn't have been. I would go to the dentist to have it fixed but he really creeps me out and I was just there recently. My mom might get mad when she finds out. I want to glue it back in w/ some Krazy Glue or nail adhesive but I'm afraid it might poison me. So has anybody had experience w/ this type of thing? As you can tell, this is a very big problem and it is almost 2 a.m. where I am! thanks!

Recently ive been having strange tingling sensations on my arms, and mosty on my wrists and handsalso on my feet mostly near my ankles... 2-3 months ago, til present time- everytime i get up i get dizzy and black out for 5-7 seconds. when im walking or sitting im always dizzy, but its not extreme like when i get up. i get shaky alot also. ive been having bruises apear on my legs???!!! any suggestions on what this might be?!?

Basically what happens is that the doctor takes his really really small thing that appears to be a hammer and pulls it down the middle of the foot? If your toes go up, I guess your in trouble, so I heard?? What would I be in trouble for? Like what does it mean if my toes go up? Any help? I think the test starts with a "F" or a "V"
