The reason professional therapists exist is that family and friends can't always provide what we need. "Too judging" is how you put it. Sometimes we need to start fresh, with a smart, caring person (or people); in an environment that isn't dictated by the roles we play every day, be it child, buddy, student...
A good way to start is with your regular, family doctor. Tell him or her how you feel and let them take it from there. This is important. These people WILL care, they can help and they will also protect your privacy.
And don't sell your parents short, either. They may just surprise you. In fact, know what my own dad said to cheer me up just last week? He said "No matter how bad it may look today, we never know what good will happen tomorrow."
And I'm 49 years old.
Hang in there and all blessings.

Depression is called the common cold of mental health. It is very common.
If you are depressed there are a range of things you can do to deal with it. Though remember depression is not like being sad, it is like feeling as bad as you possibly can emotionally. There are also a large number of different types of depression.
Chronic depression can be dealt with using medication. However I believe medication alone will not deal with the underlying problems in your life, so the primary method is counselling.
As for helping yourself. One method that really works is this. Make a list of at least 10 things you enjoy doing but having done in a long while. Then do at least one of them. Maybe you won't feel happy but you will feel happier.
Good luck with getting better. Nearly every day I feel happy, but there have been times in my life when I have felt dispair and hopelessless. Maybe for me it is the belief that I must keep working on making my life a little better.
Also, when things are really bad for me, I go out and do something good for someone else. Because there are Billions of people in the world whose life is much worse than mine.

If you cant even talk to ur friends you need to get new friends. Thats what friends are supposed to be. For you to talk to. But this is just a phase you will soon realize the greater things of life and start to enjoy them. Just go out if your old enough and have a good time! Dont put urself down...

im not gonna give you some long, drawn-out explanation of why your depressed...blah blah blah. im just gonna say..take a leap of faith...trust someone with your secrets. everyone needs someone to talk to. If you have Lifesavers in your school, one of them would be best because confidentiality is the biggest rule.
-or-
try writing stuff, like i do poetry, or write a journal...sounds stupid i know and when people told me that i was like yeah, whatever i dont want ANYONE to know what im going through. but then for a week i wrote three journal entries...then when no one was home i'd build a little(keyword: LITTLE, very, very little!) fire outside my house in the field and burn them. it helped...like i was burning those feelings away. just an idea...i wouldnt try burning stuff in your house though. use a little common sense when you build a fire.

Depression is a common condition. It can be treated with medications and/or talk therapy. Many people have found strenuous exercise can also relieve depression.
I hope that you will be able to choose a course of action and find relief.
Real friends don't judge

I feel sorry for you and I wasn't going to answer this but changed my mind. Let me see, don't know anything about you or whats happening in your life, but what I do know is this, you are going to have to do something about it, nobody can do the work for you. Get up and make some sort of game plan or goal and then start making it happen. Only you can do this and you know it, there are easy way outs.

when you have your doctor's examination he will help you to enjoy life again. sometimes it's just a pill to take. maybe you want to meet other similar people in a support group. look in your telephone book for a crisis hotline where there will be someone to talk to on the phone right now. depending on your age and location they will give your best local answers. or just walk right into a hospital emergency room and they will help you now. you are smart enough to ask for help, just follow thru to put a smile into your life.
