i got a toothe pulled 1 week ago but i ignored the doctor and smoked anyway ....when i got home i checked on the internet about this dry socket stuff which before that day i never heard of it .lol after reading how bad and painfull it is i allmost dropped a load in my pants...since it has been a week and i have no signs i dont think am i outa danger ?

versantl what do you mean i seem to know everything ? you seem like your in a bad mood...oh and if it helps anyone else that wants to be stupid and take a chance i took off the filters for less sucyion and exhaled thru my nose :)

NOT SMOKING AFTER AN EXTRACTION WILL HELP TO PREVENT A DRY SOCKET. YOU WERE REALLY LUCKY YOU DIDN'T GET IT.
AFTER A WEEK THERE'S NOT A CHANCE OF A DRY SOCKET WHICH WOULD HAVE OCCURED WITHIN THE FIRST 2 OR 3 DAYS AFTER THE SURGERY.

yes. you are in danger of that for the first 2 or 3 days.
