Can I put store bought ALFREDO sauce inside the slow cooker and make it that way?

If so, what other ingredients should I add to it to give it a better taste? I never like the way store bought sauce tastes ( never tastes good like the restaurants alfredo does ). Please help. I want to make this for dinner tonight. thanks!

And it turned out to be a disaster. My mum made the most amazing rice pudding so after she died my dad found an old recipe book with her recipe in it. To cheer him up I said I would make it for him but I ended up putting too much vanilla in (i should have really used vanilla pods) I t was horrible no amount of cream or milk could make it taste better but him and my husband ate the whole lot and said it was delish!

I still have lots of the batter left. Can I add something to the remaining batter to ensure that the next batch rises?
I already used 1 tsp. baking soda, but apparently that wasn't right.
Thanks.

In order to simplify Thankgiving dinner, I was hoping to use a par-baked (or ready made) pumpkin pie and pecan pie. What are the best ones?

I already went to a regular supermarket by me and they don't have it. Is there some kind of speciality store that I can find it in? I'm supposed to cook a pork roast in a crock pot with it.

I am planning to make this cheesecake to take to my fiance's house for Thanksgiving next week: http://www.kraftfoods.com/main.aspx?s=recipe&m=recipe/knet_recipe_display&u1=keyword&u2=ribbon%20cheesecake&u3=**1*1&wf=9&recipe_id=98313#tips.

Since it says to use a 13x9 pan I figured on putting parchment paper or foil underneath the cheesecake so that I can lift it out of the pan. However, how do I then get the paper out from under the bottom of the cheesecake? Just very carefully? :-)

Also, if I were to buy a springform pan to use instead, do you think that the recipe would be too big for a standard springform? The recipe says that this dessert is 'party-size.'

I've never made a cheesecake before, but I'm not a novice baker, so any advice is appreciated. Thanks!!!!

I have this recipe for an asian crepe which is as follows...

2 cups crepe mix (which is 6:1 ratio RICE flour:cornstarch)
1 cup water
1/4 cup beer
1/4 tsp of baking powder.

Rest it for an hour and cook on hot skillet.

So my questions...
What do the cornstarch, baking powder, and beer contribute to the crepe?

I've been having trouble making it crispy too, any suggestions?
