I am looking for a recipe for this traditional dish...I used to have the recipe and lost it. It has a different twist on it. It contains either sour cream or cream cheese and also cheddar cheese in it. Can anyone give me a recipe like this or similar to this?

I'm a recipe connoisseur and I'm trying to find something different to make.
This is my favorite:
Zuppa Toscana
1 lb ground Italian sausage
1½ tsp crushed red peppers
1 large diced white onion
4 Tbsp bacon pieces
2 tsp garlic puree
10 cups water
5 cubes of chicken bouillon
1 cup heavy cream
1 lb sliced Russet potatoes, or about 3 large potatoes
¼ of a bunch of kale
Sautee Italian sausage and crushed red pepper in pot. Drain excess fat, refrigerate while you prepare other ingredients.

In the same pan, sautee bacon, onions and garlic for approxiamtly 15 mins. or until the onions are soft.
Mix together the chicken bouillon and water, then add it to the onions, bacon and garlic. Cook until boiling.

Add potatoes and cook until soft, about half an hour.
Add heavy cream and cook until thoughouly heated.
Stir in the sausage.
Add kale just before serving. Delicious!

I'm 25 and have FINALLY been allowed to bring something to Thanksgiving and Christmas this year (I'm a great cook, but always am in charge of rolls or ice)

Question is, I need a new dish that I can start making from now on...ie green bean casserole, corn casserole etc. Something original and not TOO time consuming or difficult, but something that will be a big hit.

make these sugar cookies every Holiday but since she passed away years ago no-one can duplicate her recipe. We have it, she wrote it down, but she must have done something else that isn't on paper. I use to make them with her, she measured by the hand, maybe that's it. Just wondering if any of you have ever experienced the same?
