Looking for a recipe that would make something that tastes like the frozen treat, Lemon Chill. Along with alternatives to make it a 'Lime Chill'.

We do have an ice cream machine.

I'd like to avoid milk or milk ingredients due to my son's milk allergy. And, we have a fridge full of limes, since they were on sale at the grocery store last week :D

Maybe even a recipe for a really yummy Lemon/Lime italian ice???

What've you got??

My favorite recipe:

Bunuelos

4 cups flour
2/3 cup shortening
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
mix together ingredients and add hot tap water one Tablespoon at a time until it forms a soft but not sticky dough roll out to paper thickness and fry in a hot cast iron skillet filled wiht about an inch of hot oil. when it turns puffy and golden brown take it out and put it on some paper towels and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.

a more simple version is to buy tortillas at the market and cut into triangles, fry it in the same amount of oil and take out and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.

we are having 4 friends coming for dinner on saturday each bringing a course. One couple are bringing a salmon/parmesan filo pastry starter and the other couple are bringing a banoffee pie & fruit salad. I am making the main and stumped about the best thing to do. I want it to look great, taste delicious and not be too complicated. Plus I hate coriander and offal. So - any ideas anyone???????

By dinner mixes I mean things like Zatarain mixes and Hamburger/Chicken/Tuna helper -- where you just add meat and a limited number of additional ingredients for a "full meal".

What side dishes if any do you prepare with these types of meals?

We're going camping and will have scrambled eggs for breakfast. In order to save a few steps this weekend, I would like prepare the egg mixture at home and then cook at the campsite. How long will the egg mixture last in a cooler full of ice before going bad?

I made some sauce using store bought jar sauce, ground beef, and mushrooms. It ended up having no taste at all. Any suggestions of what I could add for flavour?

It's really good, but really not all that noticiable depending on what all you put into your meatloaf. Try the stove top stuffing instead of bread/cracker crumbs and see if you like it better.

I just tried to make a strawberry banana smoothie with 1/2 cup of apple juice, 1/2 cup of skim milk, 1 banana, and 4 strawberries. But when i mixed and smoothed it, it turned out really frothy and bubbly. It tastes gross! Please let me know what I did wrong or give me a better recipe!

Staying with a friend for the weekend, they're having a hard time at the moment and I want to cook them a really lovely breakfast on sunday to cheer them up a bit - not a fry up.
I'm a veggie, so don't really want to cook anything containing meat.
Any ideas and recipies please.
