We're going camping and will have scrambled eggs for breakfast. In order to save a few steps this weekend, I would like prepare the egg mixture at home and then cook at the campsite. How long will the egg mixture last in a cooler full of ice before going bad?

If you put them in an air tight container, then im sure it would last quite a while...

Every time I go camping, I buy egg beaters.... Scrambled eggs already sealed in its original container... They turn out good and they stay fresh...

I was once told by a chef in the army the trick is to put a lot of salt in the water when boiling. Also, as soon as you are ready to start peeling, pour off the hot water and start running cold water over the eggs...I have also found that cracking the shell as they sit in the cold water works well also. As a person with a large family, I have to make 4 doz. eggs for holidays etc., and this has helped me tremendously..oh, one more tip, roll the eggs in your fingers as you are shelling them as this will help release the inside membrane from the egg.

I think you can freeze it.
Bakeries use 25 lb blocks of frozen whites and frozen yolks.
I would not trust raw eggs over a couple hours, if that.
Or take the eggs in shells on ice..

Egg used in mayonaise is not cooked at all. How ever you can try egg powder.
