I have a project I have to do and I need to find I site that has data to back up the cooking instructions for frozen pasta ie. boil in salted water for 7 - 10 minutes. I need to find documents or a study that shows that cooking pasta in this way is sufficient to unsure proper cooking. Any suggestions?

It is seasoned with basil and cummin. I used fresh tomatoes and roasted red peppers. I just don't know why it's bitter and how to take that flavor away or minimize it. Thanks for you help!

I have only tasted this cake once. I am an avid home baker and would love to try this.
If anyone out there can help me, I would be most appreciative.

My daughter and her kids are coming for dinner tonight. What should I serve with grilled cheese sandwiches, which is what she suggested we have for dinner. The kids are 7 and 1. I would like to serve something somewhat healthy and inviting for the kids and the grownups. Not chips and chocolate milk, that doens't sound good to me or healthy for the kids.

I went to emeril's restaurant 2 weeks ago and although the bill was well over $400, it was the best filet i have ever eaten in my life. It wasn't as much about the taste as it was about the way it was prepared. It was slightly pink in the middle (perfect) and the outside felt like it had just been lightly cooked until brown. I have tried grilling and broiling filets and nothing seems to give me a great texture. They both end up being way to dry. What can i do to improve this?

I love pie (who doesnt?) and I was wondering if there was a healthy substitute for crisco or lard.

So I'm an idiot... I'm 19, I don't bake, but I thought I'd try to make a chocolate cake. Problem: I poured too much into the pan, and now it has overflown into my oven. I cleaned it out with a rag and water, and I tried to preheat it again. After I pre-heat it, I opened it, and the whole oven was smokey still. I turned it off, and now, here I am. I need to clean it before 1:00 (when my mom comes home, dunn dunn dunnn!!)

I don't think I have any oven cleaner or anything.
Thank you!

I'm having 8 people over and we're going to have a crab picking. I was curious how many crabs I should purchase. Would a bushel be enough, or do I need more?

I have ordered 4 lobster bakes for my mother's 50 birthday tomorrow, just a few close friends are coming over - she refused a party. So instead I figured we'd just have a small cookout in her backyard. Each bake contains 1 whole lobster, 1 dozen little neck clams, 1 sausage, 1/2 chicken, plus all the veggies. I was thinking that for lunch we would cook up three of the bakes, and then I would prepare a paella for her and my father for a late evening romantic dinner. Is this possible with these ingredients? If so do you have a recipe? And how well would it work for an after 7pm dinner if it's cooked by 5? Thanks in advance.
