My daughter and her kids are coming for dinner tonight. What should I serve with grilled cheese sandwiches, which is what she suggested we have for dinner. The kids are 7 and 1. I would like to serve something somewhat healthy and inviting for the kids and the grownups. Not chips and chocolate milk, that doens't sound good to me or healthy for the kids.

Tomato soup or sulfuric acid. You choose, either way, you're going to have a mess to clean up afterwards.

Also, a nice thin slice of tomato in the grilled cheese it a good choice.

A great way to take the average grilled cheese sandwich to another level. Use Sliced sourdough bread after you spread on the butter sprinkle some garlic powder and press some grated Parmesan cheese (fresh is best) on top of the butter, add your choice of cheese, grill open faced when golden brown and cheese has melted add sliced tomato's to one slice, place the other slice on top and serve.

Tomato soup goes great with grilled cheese, make sure you use milk instead of water when making the soup

Start by going to the Health Department in your area. They'll let you know what your cart needs (source of water for washing hands and utensils, safety procedures for propane heat source, etc etc etc). Then go to the Business License people, they'll tell you what you need to register a s a business, collect sales tax, etc etc etc. Also, find out what areas your cart would be allowed (like downtown, for a morning/lunch crowd audience) and what other regulations apply to you. Some jurisdictions don't allow a mobile food vendor to be within __x__ feet of a brick-and-mortar similar business. Personally, I think it's a GREAT idea. A variety of breads, spreads and cheeses is requisite. My favorite is 1 slice each of cheddar, provolone and mozzarella with mustard and a few slices of grilled pickle on a sourdough bread. Consider a lunch special: sandwich and a 12-oz. can of soda for $3.50 or something like that. And best of luck !!! I think you are on to something. What city will you be doing this in? and will you franchise? Google "mobile food carts" or something like that to see what kind of carts are available, how much they cost, etc. Then think about where you'll store your cart at night (and if it's considered 'sanitary/clean enough' according to the Health Dept. standards, etc. And think about how you'll tow it back and forth

Tomato Soup.

I usually serve grilled cheese with spegetti-o's but thats not really healthy. What about a home made beef-a-roni type thing, with elbow noodles, groundbeef and tomato sause.
