I tried making some but it tasted terrible. I used parmesan cheese, butter, water (because we were out of milk), garlic, and salt. All the parmesan cheese clumped up at the bottom of the pot while the rest of the stuff was all watery and floating at the top. It tasted terrible.

It was a recipe that was featured on Wheat Thins boxes. You know, one of those Rachael Ray recipes. I can't exactly remember the name of the recipe but it was something like Roasted Garlic, Herb, and Spinach Dip. It had spinach, cream cheese, water chestnuts, red pepper, carrots, gournay garlic and herb cheese and other ingredients. Ha, it sounds like I already know the recipe but there are definitely more ingredients that I know I'm forgetting. It's really good and the Wheat Thins boxes aren't printed with that series of recipes anymore and I really want to find it. So if any of you have this recipe, please post it. I will be very happy. :)

I just came in from work, put a heavy gage stainless steel, copper bottom pan on with a bit of oil to heat for dinner. My husband called with an emergency and I forgot the pan for about five minutes. By the time I got back to the pan it was scorched black and the oil caught fire as I rounded the corner. I put the fire out with salt since it was an oil fire and it now sits on the back steps waiting for the smoke to disapate.

HOW do I clean this? It is scorched BLACK. I'll admit I haven't gotten it to the sink yet since it is still hot but this is a new pan and I'd hate to think it is ruined. Any cleaning ideas? I've always cooked in cast iron so the stainles steel is a new experience. Advise please!

I am looking for a good recipe for these cookies. Are they really just sugar cookies with cinnamon-sugar on the outside? Also, what are your feelings on how they should be formed? Should they be rolled out and cut or made like drop cookies? Any other favorite cookie recipes are welcome and I'd prefer recipes that you have tried out yourself. Thank you.

Does anyone know a website to calculate calories in a recipe? Where you can enter the whole recipe and the number of servings it yeilds, then it tells you how many calories are in each serving?

I bought it thinking it was something different (newly married, just learning my way around the kitchen) and it's been in my freezer long enough. It is defrosting in my fridge right now.
What can I make with it??
Black Angus Eye of Round Roast. 2.75 Pounds
I have a slow cooker, big stove pot, over whatever I need spices wise and sides. What can I make with this? I bought two and the first one I cooked it in the oven, but cut it wrong so it was tough to eat.
Recipes only please, and please try to refrain from links. I want recipes from people who use them and know it will taste good.

Thanks to all!

Also if theres anything you know of that I could make tonight for dinner, otherwise not opposed to slow cooker for tomorrow night?

So I asked a question a few weeks ago about wanting to start expanding my use of spices and seasonings, and got some great answers of which ones people use most often. But now what? How do I actually start cooking with them? Do you have any fairly simple recipes that can help get me started? I cook often, but mostly classic, easy dinners... I'd like to start branching out. Thanks~

I have a pork roast in the freezer and I thought I'd use it to make pulled pork sandwiches. Does anyone have a nice easy, watery BBQ sauce/marinade recipe that I can throw in the crock pot and let this roast simmer in for a few hours? Or maybe a link to where I can find one?

Thanks!

It sounds as if you can just open the packet and use it, and it looks quite cool. The closest thing that I might think it is like is butter cream, but do we have an English equivalent? Does it taste as good as it looks?

I would especially like to have recipes that use sweetened condensed milk, but if your favorite does not contain it, I will still be interested as to what your favorite recipe is. Please let me know the "Source" of your recipe. I'll be giving out "BEST ANSWER" before the time runs out...THANKS TO ALL WHO REPLY!!
