I have a couple of questions about dehydrating beef jerky.
1. Do you recommend using soy sauce?
2. Do you use sodium nitrate?

4. Should you throw it away after a week?

I would like some great recipes for Monday - Thursday. Quick tasty meals. Quick desserts for Friday & Saturday kid friendly. Any meals are greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

I have recently tried the muffin-shaped brownies with the hershey kiss inserted in the middle for a added treat.

Such as ground beef and chocolate. Maybe fudge, brownies, cake, ground beef, sirloin, steaks, ground chuck, etc.

Looking to combine these two ingredients to make a tastey yet retarded dish for my family.

Meaning, tasty dish that is VERY inexpensive to make??

*mine is goulash- elbow macaroni, tomato soup, onion, and browned hamburger meat. If your feeling really rich add some chopped zucchini and carrots!! It's pretty tasty :)

or buying them already made...And what about using white chocolate vs regular coco?

Some homemade cake recipes would be great too! Someone suggested using unsweeted applesauce in place of eggs, and oil..Can this be done? Wont it affect the flavor of the cake?

It asks for 1 egg and 1/3 a cup of milk. Is there anything else I can use? (I don't have egg substitute either)

1/2 yellow bell pepper, diced
1/2 orange bell pepper, diced
1 green jalapeño pepper, diced
3 black truffles, diced
(salt, stored overnight in the fridge)

Added to a box of whole wheat cous cous, cooked in chicken broth and a stick of butter.

This will be served under a 1 pound porterhouse steak, seasoned with Penzey's Chicago Steak Seasoning and cooked medium.

This will be in the fridge for him when he comes home on Thursday.

I was debating about adding a red wine-butter sauce to the steak.

What do you think? Should I add anything? Take anything away?

NOTES: I didn't add onions or garlic to the relish, due to the jalapeño pepper.

I won't make a vegetable side because he hates them (hence, the relish added to the cous cous).

The seasoning includes salt and pepper.
