I just started cooking these veggies in a crock pot. (Can't eat them raw.) I like them well enough, but am a little tired of the “dark stew.” (Salt, pepper, water and onions.) Do you have other suggestions or approaches for using these?

I'm looking for ideas and approaches rather than recipes as I tend to throw things together that are in my refrigerator rather than use recipes.

At this point I can’t tell much difference between many of these, except perhaps spinach and carrot tops and dandelions, the others seem pretty much the same. Does any one else feel this way? (I have combined them though.)

I want to cook my fiance a really romantic, gourmet dinner. Any suggestions? Both of us will eat just about anything, so we have no dietary restrictions.

Thanks in advance!

I'm making soft shell crabs for dinner. This is the recipe I'm thinking of using:

I'm looking for suggestions on a side dish. Or maybe these are a side dish and I should use something else as a main course? Also, if you have a favorite soft shell crab recipe, please post it or a link to it. THANKS!

Its saturday, i'm bored, and can't be bothered to go to the shops and get the right ingredients to cook with.

Can you make cookies using strong white bread flour?

Thanks.

Every time I bake a bread, at home, I have to put plastic film on it while it's rising.

Do you know any method where I don't have to do that?

Thank You.

I have a few pieces of Tilapia in my freezer and I need to make something from them before they go bad. I'm interested in baking or frying, something that doesnt require a lot of ingredients and is easy to make. Hubby and I dislike greasy stuff, but would love for it to have moisturer sealed in. I'd greatly appreciate some recipes! Also what does Tilapia go best with, rice, potatoes, pasta, etc??

First of all thanks Blakkmore for the pamo, very good.

I had this lots of years ago on a boat and I think it is just canned meat sliced with cheese in the middle and then dipped in batter and fried.
Any suggestions please

Does anyone recognise the name of this dessert? My Mum (who passed away 10 years back) would often make this dessert for dinner parties. I beleive it had cream, meringue, alcohol and some other ingredients, that then got frozen and served with a fruit complementing the chosen alcohol content. I did have teh receipe but in a house move lost it before I ever got to try it out. Can anyone help?
