Does anyone recognise the name of this dessert? My Mum (who passed away 10 years back) would often make this dessert for dinner parties. I beleive it had cream, meringue, alcohol and some other ingredients, that then got frozen and served with a fruit complementing the chosen alcohol content. I did have teh receipe but in a house move lost it before I ever got to try it out. Can anyone help?

Only one I can find that fits your description is:-
"To make Snow Cream
Take a Pint of Cream, and the Whites of three Eggs, one spoonful or two of Rosewater, whip it to a Froth with a Birchen Rod, then cast it off the Rod into a Dish, in the which you have first fastened half a Manchet with some Butter on the bottom, and a long Rosemary sprig in the middle; when you have all cast the Snow on the dish, then garnish it with several sorts of sweet-meats"
A "manchet" is white bread
