Yeah random question...
Its saturday, i'm bored, and can't be bothered to go to the shops and get the right ingredients to cook with.

Can you make cookies using strong white bread flour?

Thanks.

yes, actually.

a week ago or so, I "experimented" with a classic chocolate chip cookie recepi to make it a bit healthier.

I put half as much butter,

used only egg whites

used half as many chocolate chips

and a little more than the usual amount of flour (but I used bread flour)

and they came out very tasty, but slightly more "scone"-like than cookie-like.

you can use bread flour. ONly thing that may happen is that the cookies will be lighter and more delicious. I however think it is a waste as the bread flour usually is more expensive. But I have used bread flour when out of all purpose flour.
