I have really ripe bananas and i don't want them to go to waste so I want to make banana chocolate chip cookies but i don't have any butter..I was planning on replacing the butter with cooking oil....this is the recipe i am planning on using-

1 cup sifted flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup mashed bananas
...How much oil should i use to replace the amount of butter called for in this recipe? Will they still taste good if i don't use the butter?
If you have a recipe for banana chocolate chip cookies that doesn't call for butter...that would be great as well! Thanks.

I am planning to ship truffles and other hand-crafted goodies to my clients and i am looking for an inexpensive and effective way to get them across country. They are decently fragile, although i believe the cold weather should help preserve thier shapes; however, i put alot of work and love into each piece and i'd like to see them delivered correctly. Any ideas?

There was a Fredericksburg bakery featured in a magazine that printed a copy of a cinnamon roll recipe . I'm thinking it was called jailhouse cinnamon roll. Does anyone know that recipe?

I'm just watching Giava and Rachel Ray, and when they travel for TV they eat 3 meals a day, plus desserts and snacks and all that. How can they be so slim? They usually order a lot and seem to eat most of it too

I was thinking of sending birthday cakes as a gift to family members by mail (out of state). I know fondant won't freeze well. So freezing a cake topped with it would be very bad. However, I know buttercream will freeze just fine. Is it possible to mail a cake without freezing it and it still be edible? If not, how would I freeze it (Just the freezer?) and who would I ship it through?

I am trying my hand at cake decorating, my first. I need to know about the glazing with the apricot jam(how long to set), is fondant and sugar paste the same, and can I fill a cake and then cover with fondant/sugar paste or should I use regular icing or frosting?
