and i don't have a wine bottle or any other bottle to use as a rolling pin

I don't have a car to go to the store i don't have a botte to use as a roling pin so i need something to make at home.

Sugar Cookies
"Drop cookie style sugar cookies, perfect for impatient bakers!"
INGREDIENTS
1 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Lightly grease a cookie sheet.
Cream together the butter or margarine, white sugar, brown sugar, and eggs. Add vanilla and stir.
Add the flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder and mix well.
Drop by spoonfuls onto a lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 300 degrees F (150 degrees C) for about 12 minutes or until lightly browned.

Forgotten Kiss Cookies

2 egg whites
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
red, green, yellow food coloring
1-1/2 cups chocolate chips, chocolate mint chips or nuts

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Beat egg whites until frothy.
Add salt and cream of tartar, beating until stiff.

Add sugar slowly, beating all the time.
Beat until mixture is glossy.

Add vanilla and mix.

Divide mixture into 3 parts.
Tint each with one of the colors.

Fold into each part a half cup of the chips or the nuts.

Drop by spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet and place
in oven.

Turn oven off, close the door, do not open for at least 5
hours.
These can be left in the oven overnight.



Brown Sugar Cookies
6 Servings

1 1/2 c brown sugar,frimly packed
2/3 c shortening
2 eggs,large
2 T milk
1 T orange rind,grated
2 t baking powder
1 t cinnamon
1/2 t cloves
1/4 t salt
2 c unbleached flour
1 c raisins
1/2 c nuts,chopped, if desired

Cream sugar and shortening until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, milk and orange rind. Stir togethr baking powder, spices, salt and flour. Mix into sugar mixture. Stir in raisins and nuts, if used.
Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees F. about 10 to 12 minutes, or until done. Remove from baking sheets and cool cookies on rack. Store in airtight tins.

Makes about 4 to 5 dozen cookies.

Easy Sugar Cookies

Cream 3/4 cup sugar and 1 stick oleo. Add 1 egg and beat. Sift 1 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp soda, 1/4 tsp salt, and add to creamed mixture. Add 1 tsp vanilla. Make in balls the size of a walnut and roll in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees until light tan. Do not over bake.

"Delicate brown sugar cookies. If you use self-rising flour, omit baking powder and salt."

Original recipe yield:

INGREDIENTS
3 egg whites
2/3 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon lemon zest
3/4 cup white sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C).
Beat egg whites with fork. Stir in vegetable oil, vanilla, and lemon rind. Blend in sugar until mixture thickens.
Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting. Stir together flour, baking powder, and salt; blend into egg mixture. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Flatten with oiled bottom of glass dipped in sugar.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until a delicate brown. Remove from baking sheet immediately.

AMISH SUGAR COOKIES

In a bowl, mix together well:
1 cup sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup butter, room temp
1 cup oil
2 large eggs, room temp

In another bowl, mix well:
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. Baking Soda
4½ cups flour

Combine the ingredients to one bowl, mix well, cover and chill for at least 4 hours.

When ready to bake, flour hands, then shape dough into balls and place on baking sheet.

Take a chilled glass and dip bottom in sugar. Flatten each cookie. Sprinkle with colored sugar if you want.

Bake at preheated 350ºF until the edges are golden brown.

I agree with Amy S., you should keep the dough cold, and only take out a small amount at a time. But use flour on the dough, and the pin. Have a great day and good luck!

You can buy sugar cookies in a roll at the market. Just as good as home-made ones.
