eh...i supose you could substitute the oil, no they won't taste as good. with the resipie you typed i'd say only use a quater of a cup of oil. i really don't like the idea of useing oil. but yes i think you could. or else just borrow some butter. if you are that concerned about them going bad right now, then put them in the freezer. yeah i know, sounds gross, but put them in the freezer till you get some butter. they will stay really ripe, just like they are now, for like a week or more. but that is what i do when i find that my bananas are over ripe, because i have a very large family. it takes prolly twelve of them to make enought cookies or bread for every one here. lol. good luck!!!!

No, do not use oil in this recipe. Yes, your cookies or baked goodies will taste very good without butter. First of all, the butter is an ingredient that will make the batter moist. According to some diet centers, they suggest that replacing butter/oil with applesauce in your baking recipe. Second of all, butter is very fattening. If you are on a diet or have high cholesterol, replacing butter with applesauce will not alter the taste of your baked goodies. Third of all, I have replaced butter with applesauce and it tastes very yummie and people haven't noticed the difference. Good luck & happy baking!

I'd go to my neighbor's and borrow the butter
Run to the store and buy the butter
OR make banna nut bread!
why go to all that trouble and mess it up with oil??
the cookies will run and turn to crips.
you need the butter, for flavor and consistancy.
You CAN sub APPLE SAUCE for butter!

would desire to be basically effective - that's purely a approach to "layer" a cake - and easily the sourcream and blueberries would have settled down into the cake fairly besides. basically circulate forward a bake it - you would be able to would desire to take off a splash time via fact it would not have the "layer" on suitable - or conceal it with some tinfoil if it seems love that's cooking a splash too rapidly. i'm the queen of mis-analyzing instructions, and it just about continually works out ok.

DON'T replace the butter with oil.....the cookies won't be the right consistency. You can use margarine or shortening instead of butter.

Applesauce or applejuice and i think even pineapple juice makes for a good substitute. Its healthier too! I believe Starbucks has been using pineapple juice in their reduced fat baked goods.
