I am planning to ship truffles and other hand-crafted goodies to my clients and i am looking for an inexpensive and effective way to get them across country. They are decently fragile, although i believe the cold weather should help preserve thier shapes; however, i put alot of work and love into each piece and i'd like to see them delivered correctly. Any ideas?

Wrap them in foil, then place in sandwich size ziplock bags and ship in small cardboard boxes with a little bit of bubble wrap. Send me the broken ones. I'll eat them! :)

You can get tins or plastic containers from craft stores reasonably - use cupcake wrappers to put them in and arrange in the tin. Put crumpled wax or parchment paper over them before putting the lid on and then put them is a small box that barely fits it with something to fill the rest of the space so nothing moves.

Mark the box carefully as fragile and ship it priority mail.

Put the goodies in airtight bags and throw in a few sachets of silicone to keep them dry. Then wrap in a couple of layers of bubble wrap and put them in a box that has plywood or a similar cheap/strong material cut out to fit on the inside on all 6 sides.

I send cookies to my Ma abroad a couple of times a year and my lovely hubbie packs them real good for me every time :-)
