Weddings - December 2006

My bf and I have been together for 4 yrs and plan to get married in 2 yrs from now. I am 24 and he is 28. Everyone tells us we should do it sooner because "its time". What do you think?

My fiance and I are planning on getting married on Feb 24th 2007. The only place we could get with short notice is a local Elk's club which is really nice and a lot of people in our small town use for receptions. I am thinking about us having our ceremony there too to save money. The only problem is I would like our tables to be set up when the guests arrive, instead of having our family members set the tables up after the ceremony with the guests there. Do you think it would be weird to have guests sit at the tables while we say our vows? Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks in advance

My friend got married. A lot of things went wrong. But the wedding happened. The main thing was that the location they were to be married at would not allow the number of guests they were having. At the last minute they had to change the location. Four months later I get an invitation in the mail for another wedding. Anyone have any ideas? I mean I think its great, but what would the reasoning behind it be?

I got engaged a month ago and we decided to get marriaged next october 2007 but 10 minutes ago I talked with my fiancee.
She said me "My brother is going to army in august for this reson we must get engaged before soldier problem or on May 2008.
I have to decide which is better for me.Get marriaded before her brother go to army or on May 2008
I love her and I don't wanna to wait a long time.
But my budget can't afford it in August If I want to get marriaged before August.
Plese give me your opinion.

I was wanting to play 'You are the love of my life" by sammy kershaw in the beginning, (by fiancee wants me to come in with the wedding march so I'll probably have to cut the first one short). Me and my boyfriend have been together for two and a half years, he has been married before, and has a child with his ex. They are divorced. We live together have been for over a year. He told once that he didn't want to get married but this was when we first got together. When we watch movies about wedding he always teases and says to turn it off. But he also mentions small things like us being together years to come. What do you think. Is he maybe just waiting to make sure it is the right thing he wants to do.

I met a girl about 6 months ago and we became good friends and about 3 months after we met she and her boyfriend got engaged...

and she asked me to be one of the bridesmaids...

I think she just asked me because she didn't want me to feel left out...which is fine...and we're good friends and get along well...but I don't really actually want to be a bridesmaid...i feel really bad about feeling this way, because I like being her friend and I'd really love to be at the wedding and see her get married, but I just don't want to be a bridesmaid...!!!

Should I just suck it in, and go through with it...after all it's only one day!...or how do I tell her how I feel without hurting her feelings...

My fiancee and I are in a long distance relationship and these past 4 months have really put a strain on our relationship because we haven't been able to see each other as often as we would like. Well; lately my fiancee has been pushing getting married-and wants to do it secretly Christmas-and then just have the ceremony in front of family members in June. I just don't see what difference getting married now or later will make-since we will still be maintaining separate households until I can sell my home, quit my job and relocate to his home next June. Having a piece of paper saying we're married-doesn't close the distance gap-so it doesn't solve anything. Furthermore-I did this in my first marriage (married secretly in Vegas) and it devastated my family. I have no desire to deceive them in the same way again- and want to do it the right way this time. My fiance knows how I feel-but is madly in love with me and wants to marry me NOW. Should I give in?

My boyfriend proposed and now when I ask about setting a date because I would like to get started on planning he says he's not ready to set a date yet. I am getting married to my fiance` on 25th of december. She was very afraid and confused about the wedding night stuff. Actually we never had sex before, not to each other or anyone. It will be our first experience. She said that she's very afraid of the first time sex because its very painful and she would bleed too.... Well, i am pretty aware of the female physiology and anatomy, but i don't know about psychology. If the first time sex is painful, will i not be hurting her then? I am also confused as how would i begin the whole thing. OK, we'll talk for a long time but how do i start first...I..I am confused about it myself. getting naked in front of her will be quite a very very new thing for me.... Plz folks, help me out as how to spend my first wedding night (apart from talking stuff, i'll talk don't worry), but i don't want to cause her pain or any other physical trouble. And i am also afraid that maybe for the first time, i'll ejaculate so early as to the level of embarassment.

I need your opinion on centerpieces. I was thinking, since my wedding is about 2 weeks after Christmas I could purchase poinsettas and repot them for the centerpieces. How would that look? I know, I know, they range extremely!!! My FI and I can not agree on a Price to set for a band. Just wanted to hear what other people thought.... my engagement ring was a bit pricey and it's platuim.
