My boyfriend says that the 2 month rule is for people making $30,000/year and his coworkers agree. He's thinks a little less than one month's salary is suitable, and I agree, especially with student loans and a mortgage. I'm just curious if others agree, if you are making $100,000 a year, is it ridiculous to spend about $17,000 on a ring? How about $6,000?

I heard there could be problems with rh factors in blood groups - that there could be problems with the off-springs if the right kind of match is not carried out. Is that true ? If yes, then what are the best combinations of ABO and RH factors for a B-ve blood group ?

Not taking cost into consideration as not all bakers believe it to be a cost-saver since there really is more work involved with extra baking and such.

I got married 2 years ago. My husband and I are working through college so, we couldn't afford expensive rings or a grand ceremony or reception. We got married at city hall and had a nice dinner. we really didn't have any of the "expected" wedding stuff. our honeymoon was 2 nights at a hotel by the sea.
not that we didn"t want to do all the grand gestures, it just wasn't in our budget.

now, several of my friends are getting married/ engaged and all they want to talk about is.. weddings.
I wouldn't mind but when they talk about it, they always be me and my husband down for not "going all out" . They side snide things like.." well, the wedding is a new start- and it shows you how things are going to be.. too bad you settled."

I love my husband and I'm not unhappy with our wedding plans But I'm getting sick of hearing them talk about us like this and when I've told them nicely that it bothers me, they don't listen.

has this happened to you?
what should I do?

During the cake cutting at my best friend's wedding, she (and her husband) called me (the maid of honor) and the best man up to the table. When they cut the cake, they pretended to throw the cake in each other's faces like normal. Instead, they both spun around and got me and the best man instead. It was absolutely friggin' hilarious! One of my best memories.

So, eventually, I'm going to get married (probably in the next five years . . . the boyfriend and I are taking it slow, but we both know we want to marry each other). I really want to get my best friend good, but I'm having a hard time thinking of something. I've been pondering this for almost seven years! My boyfriend wants to do it too, but he hasn't been able to think of anything either.

Ideas? We've been best friends for 18 years. I think almost anything goes.

Thanks!

I would like meat-eaters' opinions as to whether they feel it is necessary to be notified that a wedding reception will be all vegetarian? I am having a veg wedding reception and don't know if I need to indicate in my invite that there will be no meat served at the reception.

I have a relative who is getting married and wants to wear her mother's emerald ring on her wedding day. Should she wear it on her right hand, her engagement ring on the left hand, and have the groom place the wedding band on top of the engagement ring? Or, should she just not wear her engagement ring at all?

He got engaged a few months ago and we're getting married in February. He bought me this beautiful diamond wedding band as my engagement ring, which we picked out together.

So does he buy his own wedding ring?
Am i suppose to buy it for him?
Can give it to him as a christmas gift?
How expensive should it be?
I know he doesn't want diamonds, he wants a simple band, in a darker metal.
