I want to write my own vows. Just want some opinions before i say them in front of everybody else. If you like them use them I know when I say them to my man that they came from my heart.

You are my chosen one.
I have loved you always and always I will love you.
God gave me the most perfect man, and I couldn't have done better if he let me make you my self.
I love you and I am proud to be your wife.

My fiance and I got engaged 4 months after we started dating. Since then I have been dreaming about the BIG day. He says that the reason we haven't taken the big step yet is because he wants to be more financially stable and we can afford it yet. So, is it just me or should I be wondering WHY he ask me so soon, if he wanted to wait SO VERY LONG. Oh and another thing he doesn't like talking about it. What the hell am I suposed to do?

Okay, my fiance really wants to get married in Vegas. I'm okay with that. He wants to do it at the drive-thru ... that I'm not sure about.

My question is, when should we do this? Our best friends (who we want to come with us) are still in college, so we can choose between their Easter break and their Christmas break.

So. If you were getting married in Vegas, would you do it in April? Or in December?

We're okay with any kind of temperature and things like that. It doesn't actually matter which season we get married in. We just don't know Vegas ... which time will there be fewer people? Which time will there be better hotel rates? Etc.

So which one is better, and why?

Also, if you live in Las Vegas or got married there ... any tips?

Thanks.

Say were given a gift of $25,000, the caveat being you could only spend it on one of these two options, your wedding or as a down payment on a house...which would you choose and why?
personally, I happily eloped and if I had had that option would have a house already...

I picked out a really nice dress for my 3 bridesmaid.
The chief bridesmaid has been complaining like there is no tomorrow. At first the dress was a bit long, now she is saying that the dress is showing her arms too much and she does not like her arms.
Keep in mind she is a bit insecure but very pretty! (I don't get it either). She has now asked if she should get a different dress with the same color. I said ok, but I am soo not happy because the dress I picked is very stylish and hip and everyone adores it..
She has asked if she could put a "showl" over it..and I hate those. I don't even know if I got that spelling right. Please help me!!
What should I do???

I understand that you need to first get a marriage license which takes 3 days to process and a $28 fee. When I got to pick it up, will the judge or justice of the peace marry us right then and there? We don't plan on having a religious ceremony for a while. Should we dress up? Help! Thanks in advance!

My boyfriend and I are not technically engaged yet, but are planning to be engaged very soon. We are both wanting to keep it fairly low budget and simple, but don't want it to be tacky. Any bright ideas? I already have dresses, and don't want a dance-type reception, just nice dinner. But am having trouble envisioning it all. Please help.

My wife and I argue about this all the time. She says the wedding band is on the bottom because it is closer to the heart. I say it goes on second, because thats the order you get them, and it 'seals' the love. What are your thoughts?

I don't have an engagement ring, I wear a 1/2 carat "right hand ring" (the bubble style) for a wedding band/engagement ring. It was about $600.00. My husband and I are thinking about a traditional solitaire, and band set soon. how big are your rings? I see people at work, and their rings look HUGE, but I would never ask how many carats they have at work....

It ticks me off when a planner spends all this money and time for advertisement to get you to visit thier website then when you do they have a section on it labeled Prices/Packages.. yet when you click on it, it doesn't list prices!

My fiance and I are getting married in June 2007. We will have 3-4 groomsmen. We would like to get them each a nice gift, but don't want to do the normal monogrammed beer mug thing. We have around $50 to spend per person. We want something cool & unique... something that won't sit on a shelf or dresser and collect dust. We need help! Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!
