It's your own personal preference. There really isn't a certain age that you should get married. It all depends on when you meet the right person. I know a man who is 47 and still unmarried where i got married at 19.

NEVER too late! Why do you have to get married? My Irishman is 40. He was married before and it did not work out. My Irish father married at 32. People can get married till the day they die. Do what's right for you, but it's never to late. There could be something to those words of your dear grandmother. Then again, different generation!! I'd do what you want to do unless you're dead set on being a "good ole Irish boy" in the eyes of grandma.

There really aren't many hard and fast rules about life...except perhaps that you shouldn't deliberately hurt others. 20, 30, 40, 50, any age is a good age. Some ages are prescribed by laws. 16 to get a drivers license, 18 to vote, 65 to get Social Security (actually you can start drawing it earlier), and so forth. There are laws governing marriage (I think it's 18, earlier you might need parent's permission in some states). Remember, you can get divorced at any age. When you're ready for marriage is probably the "best age".

life is short and comes once, why not grab the chance of enjoying a married life if you opt to, we don't know what will gonna happen tomorrow. try to raise your own family, Marry when you feel the love embracing you, because it shall never come that way again. The essence of life is to do things you like unselfishly. I guess age at 30 is good enough to settle down.

Ignore your grandmother. Get married whenever you find the right person and you both decide that you are ready to go.
