I want to write my own vows. Just want some opinions before i say them in front of everybody else. If you like them use them I know when I say them to my man that they came from my heart.
You are my chosen one.
I have loved you always and always I will love you.
God gave me the most perfect man, and I couldn't have done better if he let me make you my self.
I love you and I am proud to be your wife.

sweet, but maybe you should look at traditional vows to get ideas of other things to include, and the reword them...I don't have a problem with writing your own vows, but I hate it when people forget to vow the fundamental things in marriage. Add some things about how you will be by his side no matter what (remember richer and poorer, better and worse?) What about how you will be faithful only to him? Thats pretty important don't you think? I think you have a great start, but I think you need to elaborate a little further to truly state your commitment to him....this kinda sounds like a really nice way of sayin I love you, which you could do any old day, this is your wedding, time to pledge everything youve got! I hope this gave you some more ideas, I really do like what you have so far tho! Good luck and congrats!

I have a problem with the last line: When you actually speak these words during the ceremony, you aren't his wife yet. The person conducting the ceromony doesn't pronounce you man and wife until after the vows are said... and the first line sounds a little bit like he is the leader of a cult you belong to. Otherwise, I really like what you are saying, your words tell me that your love is far from superficial. Best wishes to you both.

The only "vow" is some reference to loving him forever cos you have already been doing that. What else you gonna do? What do you expect of him in return? What about this journey of growth, exploration, creativity, discovery that the two of you are about to embark on? What about this joining of spirits? What about the needs that the two of you wil have and how you expect these to be met? Here's a tip: dont think of them as wedding vows - think of them as marriage vows. There is a huge difference. I have been thinking about ours for some time now and you really need to reach down deep and understand what it is you are doing. This is no time to be looking for "sweet little platitudes"!

I think anything that you write from the heart and mean is wonderful. Doesn't really matter what you say? The vows start in you heart

I think that is just beautiful, but...those aren't vows. Vows are promises. As in, "I vow to love you, believe in you," etc.
But you can still fit this in somewhere. Maybe even in a toast at the reception.
