It doesn't matter where you go. You will be spending more time in your hotel room than anywhere else anyway.

We did a "weddingmoon" at the Breezes resort in the Bahamas. We met many couples that were there for their honeymoons. We can;t wait to go back! The people were great, the place was always clean, we had zero complaints. It is all inclusive so you never have to worry about carrying money around. Meals, drinks, snacks etc are included. There is so much to do on the resort you never have to leave if you dont want to. We did take a Booze and Cruise for $50/person and that was a lot of fun- we would do that again too. We did venture into downtown just to say we had been there. We stayed 4 nights there and 2 nights in Miami (on the way there and back) It was perfect!!!! Highly Highly recommend it!!
Congrats and have fun wherever you decide to go!

My wife and I got married three years ago. We went to Cancun Mexico for our Honeymoon. We had our travel agent look around for the best deals. What she found was the Sun Palace. It is a all inclusive resort. Other than tips and day trips everything else is covered. The staff is excellant, the food is good, i had a problem with the Pam like spray on oil they used to cook breakfast. The overall cost of the trip, including airfare, and staying there 10 days was $3,000.00 Great times to be had at the swim up bar and on the Resort field trips. I was very disapointed by how much the prices would be raised in the international market when foriegners showed up. Prices seem to be ok, just not as cheap as you think. Last but not least we went in late september, hurricane season. It was very very humid, when you leave your room your glasses will fog up.
Congrats on getting married, have a fun trip, and if you go to Cancun make sure you tip your bartender a twenty when you first arrive, we did and we never waited for a drink and couldn't finish one with having a fresh one handed to us. Also be forwarned. They will try to get you for a timeshare deal. Just politey and firmly tell them no. They will ask again and offer some pretty good gifts, but just say NO!!!

Our honeymoon was an 9-day Princess cruise to the Eastern Caribbean. The cruise itself was $1,500 per person for a cabin with balcony, plus the airfare to get to and from the departure point, and misc. other expenses. All in all, probably $5,000. It was awesome!! A cruise really makes you feel pampered. You get fed, entertained and taken care of 24/7, it was a great feeling! And we got to see new places along the way. We can't wait to take another cruise, we loved it so much. Nothing like sitting out on the balcony at midnight having a cup of tea and listening to the water rushing by the side of the ship as it moves through the night.

My husband and I went to Stone Mt. Georgia for our honeymoon. It was in the spring so the scenery was beautiful; we were there for about 4 days. It just so happens that my husband won the trip from work (salesman) and it was scheduled about two weeks after we got married so most of the trip was already paid for. It was so much fun and if you're into historical type places this is the place to go. There are a lot of things to do and the food is great.

I highly recommend:
1. booking it through a trusted travel agent. they can help ensure your trip and flights are problem-free and will know which resorts are rated the best.
2. make sure your resort is all-inclusive, with tips included. the last thing you'll want to do after the craziness of a wedding is worry about penny-pinching all week long. talk about killing the romantic mood!
3. make sure your resort is adults-only. another thing you won't want is screaming children running around you, splashing and whatnot.
We took a week-long honeymoon in the Mayan Riviera, Mexico. It cost about $3000 in all, including trips off the resort, and it was absolute perfection!! Stayed at El Dorado Royale... and would go back 1,000 times!

I always strongly recommend Sandals Resorts for honeymoons.
We booked during a promotion and got a great deal. Including airfaire, accommodations and transfers... we spent about $3500 for 7days, 6nights. Accommodations including all dining, alcoholic beverages (if you drink), a NICE room, water sports, entertainment and INCREDIBLE SERVICE!
From the moment we stepped off the plane and were greeted by Sandals staff, until the moment we left...we were impressed by the service and phenomenal staff. They went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant.
I was totally impressed and CAN'T WAIT to return.
Everyone we met while there was very friendly and the best part : ADULTS ONLY!!
We went to the resort in Nassau (Royal Bahamian) and it was a great experience. Best Honeymoon (TRIP PERIOD) that I could have asked for...
Good luck and hope this helps! :-)

We went on a Carnival Cruise to the Caribbean. It was a 7 day cruise, we paid about $4000 and had the greatest time of our lives. I highly recommend it to anyone planning a honeymoon.

I live in California and everyone here goes to Hawaii; I knew I didn't want to go to Hawaii though. We ended up going to Tahiti for a whole week and had a great time. We found someone online who had a timeshare over there and we stayed in an overwater bungalow (with the glass bottom floor!) for $700 from Saturday to Saturday (very inexpensive compared to regular rates). The plane tix from LA were about $1200 each and you figure about $1000+ for food, car rental, etc. while there. It was beautiful and I can't wait to go back!!

We went to Cancun, Mexico back in early September. We did the all-inclusive for 8 days, 7 nights. Total cost was $2700 but it was totally worth every cent. You don't have to worry about bringing a lot of cash with you or travelers checks, what have you. We brought maybe $700 for excursions off of the resort or ones that weren't included like spa packages and souvenirs.
It was hot and humid but I'd go back in a second!

Ohhh thats so exiting... I recomend, Puerto Rico it is not as expensive as the bahamas and if u going to stay u might want to be there longer than a week, u need time to see all the wonders of it. U might need to get a travel agent to help you if you never been there to make sure u c all the things in the Island. Make sure you stay in the outline of the island Visit El Yunque, San Juan, Camuy Caversn, Aguadilla waterfalls, and the beutiful beaches in the Capital.
