Least favorite is emerald cut b/c it doesn't have the brilliance of a cut with more facets. Favorite would be oval versus the similarly shaped marquis. Ovals don't have 'points' to get knocked around. I don't really like diamonds, though. Diamonds are NOT rare. The diamond cartels simply control how many make it to market. I much prefer colored stones. Alexandrite and Ruby are my absolute favorites. My solitaire, in fact, is a Blood Ruby.

My ring is a 3 stone ring with emerald cut diamonds. I love it! Emerald cut isn't as sparkly as some of the other cuts, but it just looks so classy and elegant. I like that it's not as common as round or princess cut diamonds. I don't like marquise cut at all, yuck!

I have a perfect princess-cut square. It was given as a surprise, but it's exactly the one I would have chosen. It's in a plain Tiffany setting and I love it. I understand though that the cut that holds its value most is still a round cut.
I also like pear and heart shapes, but I don't care for the marquis cut at all.

Least - Emerald because it does not catch the light as well as a round cut. It's pretty, but it does not have the "sparkle" quality about it.
Most - Round because it shows the most brilliancy. I love my round cut engagement ring.

I love mine - it's a round cut with round side diamonds, and more round diamonds in the wedding ring too. Round is my favorite. I guess my least favorite would be the pear shaped one.

I love the round cut because it is the most sparkly and has the most cuts to it which makes it stand out more. It is also the most expensive but to me, my ring is perfect. I have three stones, all round cut with platinum.

I really like the princess cut and the round cut.
I do not like brilliant, marquee, tear, heart and those fancy things.
Why? Well because i want a ring to be normal looking and traditional and not weird and huge.

I love the simple emerald cut. Not alot of edges to look busy, I'm very OCD... can you tell. I hate pear cut rings, they're just lopsided and ugly. Also I don't like solitaires, I think it needs sidestones, but to each his own.

I hate the Marquise shaped thing, but the Emerald shape
is a cut above and very chic.
