Hey everyone. I am getting married on June 2, 2007, and I need some advice on flowers. I would like to know what is in season, and I want the bouquets to stand out, but I don't want to use just plain white. So, if you have any adivice, or a good wedding flower website, I will glady take it! Thanks so much!

Has anyone here had a courtroom wedding? what is it like? Are you allowed to play music, decorate, or write your own vows etc?

im looking to purchase a .76 carat diamond... near colorless, ideal cut, princess cut, no visible infractions... the store i want the setting from is charging me $4400 for the rock... ive seen similar rocks at other stores for as low as $3500 so i take it there is quite a bit of markup on diamonds. the store im buying the setting from seems like they are willing to haggle on price, so im wondering if anyone here in the jewerly field could tell how much markup there is on diamonds/what they pay for them so i have an idea of how low i can try to get them to go

I know throwing a bridal shower for yourself is ultra tacky and I'm not trying to do a gift grab I'm looking for a pre wedding event where gifts are not accepted but, I can spend sometime with my female guests. I'm not trying to bridezilla but, all plans are done way to far in advance and now it feels like there is just time passing and nothing to do and to be honest I feel a little neglectided as I am the first in my family that did not get a shower.I guess I just kinda want to hear the stories and maybe get some of the advice play the games etc. I have dropped hints that I wanted some type of get together held for me and no one took it up. My wedding is this New Years Eve I would also like to include underage guests. Any ideas? Or am I just being a spoiled brat? I have done almost everything by myself without asking for help as I didn't want to put anybody out (my maid of honor has a busy schedule and my other bridesmaid has a new baby)

I've been invited to a wedding and on the invitation, they've asked me to check pork or chicken. I'm a vegetarian. I know the couple but not really well so I'm not sure how to go about requesting a vegetarian dish or if it's proper to do so. At my cousins wedding, she had no problem accomodating me and I felt comfortable asking her. I also have a sever nut allergy (that was also accomodated at her wedding) and when I've gone out to eat, I let the kitchen staff know. I suppose I could just eat around the meat but I'll be drinking that night and need more then potatoes and veggies in my stomach and what about the nuts. I haven't attend that many functions where I've had this request. What do you suggest I do?

Selecting a wedding dress is proving to be a bit difficult. My wedding is in seven months and I've heard I should have my dress selected by now. I've been to a lot of wedding dress boutiques in the area and looked at wedding dresses online and NOTHING looks like it's "me." I'm turned off by the typical "wedding dress" styles and have started looking at alternatives, but either the dresses are too formal, not formal enough, or would look silly as a "wedding" dress.

If it helps, here's my wedding setting: I'm having my wedding in the summer on a boat that can hold 90 people. I'm having both the ceremony and reception on the boat, married by the captain. My fiance and I both agree that we'd like the wedding to be more like a "party we just happen to get married at" than a formal, stuffy event. I'm trying to find a dress that reflects this while also making a statement that it's an important day.

I'm not quite sure how to continue my search. Help!

I talked to him on the phone and he seemed really nice. When I saw him I was a little shocked. He was suppose to meet me to put down my deposit. I live upstairs and I had to walk downstairs to the car b/c he could not get up the stairs. That made me think of all the other thinngs he may not be able to do. Even though i still put the deposit down not knowing how to say no at the time(can get it back, its stated in contract). I am not against handicaps in anyway, he is not slow or anything something happened and he cant walk. I feel like it was a turn off he couldnt come up the stairs and if this was any other event It may not matter so much. but this is my wedding. Should i cancel him? am i over doing it? what will my guest think? I am so confused! Ive never heard him d.j. before. I found him on the interenet and his site seemed really good. he has been djing for 15+ years. My mom says keep him. his mom says no way!! HELP!!!!!

i have been with my boyfriend for just over 2 years, I am 17 and he is 20. We are very much in love, we have never really argued - just petty fights that we seem to resolve within 10 mins!!

now, he knows how commited to him I am and we often talk of marriage and children but we are not in the right financial position to move in together, im in 1st year of uni and hes just started his job after uni. he has bought me a ring for my xmas white gold with a pink heart and has jokingly asked if it will fit my ring finger, asking if we will get engaged. I think it is a lovely idea, as a symbol of commitment when we are unable to commit financially.

I find it hard to connect with my mother so I feel that I cant ask her opinion.
