We've only been together for a few months, but we are unseperable and get along so well! I love him very much and he has just left for the Marine Corps .. He wants to get married & I do tooo but my career is whats holding me back. WHAT SHOULD I DO??

ok there is this guy that i work with and he is such a funny guy and the one thing about him though is he is engaged but his girlfriend is a "psyco" and he is planning on calling the wedding off,,,,my thing is that he is talking to me like he wants to get with me because he is looking for a nice girl and he knows that i have baggage (ex: i have a 2 month old baby) should i go out with him after he breaks up with his girlfriend or should i not because he is alot older than me...but i have a felling the he might have the potential to love me and my son...but how do i know that he wont do the same to me??

My boyfriend and I will be together a year in Febuary and we are committed to each other. We talk all the time of getting married after college and having a family. Our parents want us to wait til after school to get engaged. So promise rings came up... is that a good thing rather than engagement? I thought about it and i wasn't sure. Any personal opinion would be appreciated.

Diamonds only are traditional for engagement rings. Lately I have been seeing Rubies or Saphires also in engagement ring settings. I think the large diamond between two smaller Saphires look nice. Any thoughts?

What is a good way to indicat to guests (close fmaily members) that instead of a caterer, we'd like to have a potluck dinner type thing for a meal , with some more specifc things (like medieval food made by myself and bridesmaids to match our theme). how should we go about asking family members to bring their dishes? i don't want to sound tackky or like we're being stingy. our wedding will be fairly small with no more than 60 guests, and that's pushing it!

3 months ago I told my girlfriend I wanted some time apart because things were moving fast, and we were getting serious. She was very upset, but I insisted and I didnt see her for a month. When I realized how much I loved her I asked her to take me back. At first she was still angry at me, but she finaly took me back.We were happy for the past two months, but last week I asked if she had dated anyone while we were apart - I did not. I found out she not only did date but she even slept with someone she knows from her gym and someone from her work (at different times), she she had regular sex with both, until they both broke it off her. she was hurt by them using and dumping her as well as me rejecting her. Im jealous, but I know i hurt her too. we have discussed the details, though it is hard. this way i let her know it is ok to talk about how she was hurt,but also about how she enjoyed the sex, which she tells me she did - and she has told me new things i can try in bed with her!

My fiance and i are trying to finalize the wedding date. Since i am still planning on doing some classes we have decided to have the wedding during winter break. After looking at the dates of when school end/starts for winter break, the dates are December 15 or December 29 of 2007. Do you think that those dates are too close to christmas and i should avoid those days?? we dont want to wait until June to get married.

Weve been sorta dating for the last month and a half. She into christmas and the holiday sorts. Anyway, her big family is coming over to her apartment where she live to visit her. She told me i didnt have to be there and insisted I spend my xmas with my brother who live in Waco, TX. I kept telling her I wanna be with her on such special day such as the gift giving bonanza. She refused but I think she may be emabbrassed about her kooky family. LOL! Anyway, I go over on that day and surprise her by asking for her wrist in matrimony. What you think? Romantic, huh?
