We went to one bridal show together - he got an idea of everything that went into planning the wedding and got some ideas of what he definatley did not like and what he did like.
And for bridal showers: Sometimes yes. We had a couples shower, so all the guys were there and the men in our family.
My girlfriends also threw me a shower and my husband came near the end and said hi to everyone, thanked them for celebrating with us and then helped me carry things out to the car later.

You can I did and there were a few others. But, I will warn you men get very bored at these!(So do most women they can really drag or be really good never in between) If your area is having a wedding show that is set up like a trade show most guys can deal with these as they can wander and aren't stuck there for a whole day. Just be prepared to lose him near all the food sampling its kinda like grocery shopping that way.

As the hubbie to be, I will be going to possibly 3 bridal shows with my fiance.
2 of them I am going with her voluntarily, the third i may or may not go to.
I am going with her because our wedding will be out of state, and 2 of the shows are in the state our wedding will be in.
since we're both driving there, there's no reason why I shouldn't tag along. Besides, we're both paying for most of the wedding, so we can both look at and discuss things we see while there together.
It would be easier for us to talk about something we both saw, instead of her trying to remember everything from the show, only to come home and forget half of it.

Only if he wants to go. I didn't go to any bridal shows before I got married, but I imagine my husband would have been bored out of his mind!

It depends. My husband was there, but only because about half of the guests were his family & friends, who I barely knew, and they really came to see him. But he doesn't have to be there, and a lot of people will tell you that he shouldn't be.
But really, the gifts are for him, too. And of all the wedding showers I've been too, only one did not have the guy there for at least the presents.

I think you'd be more comfortable without him. Take another female along - mum, sister, friend. Men aren't that interested in all the fiddly little pretty-pretties. They mainly just want to know what they have to wear.

It depends on the shower - if the guests are all female, then normally the groom would not attend but mixed showers are becoming much more common.

Yes!!! It is great to have the groom to be at the shower, so both can enjoy, and thank the guest together.
