I think you should talk to your parents and let them know your intentions. I believe the legal age to marry in the US is 18 years of age. So technically you could get married.

Just makes sure this is truly want you want. Please don't have the mind set of..well if it doesn't work we could always divorce.

Tabitha has the right idea. In the US, 18 is the legal age to get married w/o parental consent. However, do you think you are ready to get married? Could you two support yourselves independently? Meaning you don't have to live with your parents. Will you have health ins.? etc.

In all probability your parents will say it is best to wait until you are older and more experienced. More grounded in the real world so to speak. You don't have to listen, but as Tabitha said do NOT enter into a marriage planning or expecting a divorce. Divorce should be used only as a means of last resort.

You can certainly talk to your parents about how you are intersted in getting married, but it's best to wait at least a few more years.
