My only request to the best man was that they go out to a strip club instead of bringing strippers in. He is single, my fiance obviously is not and I know how bad these parties can be. Well, I just found out the best man, despite my one and only request, is planning it at someones house. I am very upset and do not know how to handle this. Its almost like if it will really hurt and bother me, his friends are even more excited about doing it. I know I am not marrying them but. The wedding is only 3 months away and I don't know that I can marry someone who can not stand up for me and ask for something different. I am not insecure just want real love and respect from my future husband, he has had a lot of time to get this stuff out of his system. I am just looking for some advice and opinions. Thank you

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 2 and a half years. We are totally in love and are both laid back so we just fit perfectly together. For the past 2 years I have been in grad school and just graduated in May. We have discussed getting engaged once I was out of school and I remember earlier in the year I couldnt wait to graduate because he and I really wanted to get married. Now, 4 months past graduation the last thing I want to do is get married. Why you ask? His parents are starting to pressure us into planning a wedding. His dad said, "The biological clock is ticking". Why is he talking about my biological clock? I am very close to my parents but they have never pressured me into anything so I am having a hard time taking in the comments his parents make. It is starting to scare me into not wanting to get married at all! And worst of all, I dont want to go visit them because I know the issue will be brought up. My boyfriend always defends me but they wont stop! What do I do

Can you send out different styled invitations to guests versus family? I want to send my fiancee's mother and grandmother invites. scroll type in boxes but the other guests i want to send regular invites to. Has anyone else done that or does it sound weird and a waste of time?

I was planning a fall wedding and thought about doing a "candy bar" instead of individual favors. I want to use halloween type candy from my past...mary janes, m&ms, caramels, good n' plentys, candy corn, chocolate covered pretzels...etc. i was thinking about keeping with the vintage candy theme...what would be some types of candy i could use?

am engaged 2 a great man. I am so much in love with him & I think about him all the time. He likes 2 talk friendly with girls. When we go 2 the store together I always noticed him being overly friendly with girls. He is in his late 30's & I am in my mid 30's. Sometimes some of these girls look like they are teenagers. But I feel threatened by it. He also travels for work & I fear he is going 2 be friendly with girls out of town & they might missunderstand him. He even asked one girl at a store what church she goes to & he told me that she was cute then he said not as cute as me. Then the next day he went to the same store to buy something 4 me. He was looking at her hard. She looks like a teenager. He tells me that he will never leave me & that I am the best think that has ever happened 2 him & that he loves me more than anything. But I am still worried. I saw an email address he hid from me in his room. I didn't ask. I fear he has email addresses that I don' know about. I'm sad.

I am a female, 5'7 125 lbs perfect BMI. My wedding is December 16th. There are a few places I would like to lose a little womanly fat like on my tummy, my bum, and my thighs. I did the Body for Life program during the summer so I have some muscles already (especially on my arms) and I don't want them to get any bigger, so I am not going to weight train. If I do a 1,500 calorie diet, take Tonalin CLA, and do my Gazelle for an hour every other day, will I lose a little weight? I just want to get rid of that last body fat, I'm not looking for major weight loss I know I'm healthy.

I'm a bridesmaid in my best friend's wedding, its coming up in about 2 weeks. I don't know if since I'm in the wedding, I'm still supposed to buy her a gift at the wedding since I've gotten her things from her registry for her previous parties. My mom told me no, that my being in the wedding is my gift to her but I don't know what the proper etiquette is...can someone help me? I appreciate your answers :)

My significant’s daughter who is 27 is to be engaged to Mr. Wonderful of about 33 shortly. In the past 19 months of their courtship, Mr. Wonderful has never taken the time out to see my Significant and discuss with her on the future of their courtship or the upcoming engagement party. Mr.Wonderful has shown no signs of respect what so ever to my significant or me and they have been very quite about their future plans. On the other hand Mrs. Wonderful soon to be has been secretive all her life and has not discussed anything about her plans too. I have cared for Mrs.Wonderful for the past 9 years providing what best I could do even beyond what I gave for my own daughter.

My question to you folks is: “IS THERE A LACK OF RESPECT TO FAMILY AND ELDERS “here or is this what they are made up of? How should you take this into account – Disrespectful or who wants you and who cares about you any way?

I want my Significant to attend the engagement party as a Mother, even though Mr. Wonderful never had the guts to come up and invite her formally and I do not plan on attending. Is my personal decision correct, because I respected my parents when they were alive and I respect them every day even though they are dead. I owe all my past and present to them. I respect my family and all my associates in whatever capacity them may be.

My boyfriend and I are talking about getting married soon. The thing is that we live in different states (I'm in VA and he's in TX). Neither one of us can really afford to have one big wedding and fly relatives to it if we decide to do it in either of our cities. Is there a way to have all of our relatives share in our happiness without breaking the bank?

My fiancé and I are getting married and have set up a gift list. My fiancé seems to think there are certain things that won't get bought because people don't want to be remembered as 'the person who bought us ....................... a bin (chrome), an ironing board, knives (old wives tale apparently), chopping boards and general kitchen stuff. He says people would prefer to buy something pretty or for special occasions rather than everyday kitchen things, however we are not living together before we get married so these are all things that we need!

So my question is......would you buy a newly married couple a bin/knives/saucepans/chopping boards etc if you knew that it was something that they needed, or would you rather get them something a bit frivolous which you know might not be as useful to them?

P.S. Just to pre-empt something............If you're going to reply with how rude or inappropriate it is to have a gift list at all, please don't. That isn't what I'm asking.

I'm a bridesmaid in my cousin's wedding and the maid of honor has suggested that everyone say something small rather then just the best man and the maid of honor. Does anyone have any suggestions of a nice poem that I could read for my part.

I have heard that on the night of the wedding, most couples are too tired to make love. That honestly doesn't sound like the worst thing to me. For those who have been married or know about a friends wedding night nookie, are my sources correct? (Also, I am not a virgin--this isn't something I feel HAS to be done on this night if we're honestly too pooped.)
