I think if Yahoo wanted to congratulate them that would be plenty. I would bet that the couple will marry since their are so many great relationships created on the net. I would really like to be around to be a part of it to see how it turns out......lol......I bet that the man she met is a nice guy and is totally in awe of your sister. If yahoo paid for the wedding then they would go broke as I bet the man plans to hold a fantastic wedding . I do wish your sister the absolute best in her new man and I also wish him the best too. This forum of meeting people really allows for real people to find each other and yahoo is great to have created such a place as Answers that those two could meet. If it were me in the wedding I would not allow yahoo to be a paying party, I would want a small private wedding with just a few friends and a few family in a beautiful place such as Niagra or the Grand Canyon somewhere pictuesqe......A place where they can share nature and each other and not the hoopla of the media. I do say from the botttom of my heart a great big THANK YOU to Yahoo Answers though as it is an awesome site, and I have met the love of my life their as well. So no to the question .Let them pay for the wedding themselves. Oh yea brenda thats will make u my sister in law..... see u soon.

Yahoo will do anything for money, or publicity. A wedding on YA could be a great publicity stunt for Yahoo!, though they might nix it to avoid a conflict with the Yahoo! Personals division. If word got out that people meeting through YA found true happiness, the shareholders could lose confidence.

With any luck, they're reading this, and a member of the Answers team will add their 2 cents.

UHH NO!!! Do you have any idea how many people have met on Yahoo! that went on to get married??? It would not be fair for them to throw your sister a wedding and also if they were to do that people would marry more people off Yahoo! just to get a free wedding...get what I'm saying???

I doubt it, because LOTS of people meet on the internet every day, and even some people eventually get married. Do you think that they get a wedding thrown for them. Nope.

Don't know. But if Yahoo does do that, then I should qualify too because I met my man via Yahoo. Actually, he is the one who found me. Who can we talk to about that?

That would be cool! They can have a wedding using Yahoo Messenger. I think it could work. Very inexpensive so they can really have a good honeymoon!

No.
Let's face it, Yahoo discourages personal communications on Yahoo Answers. How do you meet unless you broke the rules?

Yahoo is cheap so probably not. It would make a great wedding though so it wouldn't hurt to ask!
