I've been literally searching for months for that perfect wedding invitation set or kit. I'm not in a huge rush so I'd like to find the right one. I'm willing to print, glue & sticker whatever necessary to have a high quality, heavy card stock, classic (formal evening wedding) invitation. I've got all the catalogs, I've been to Michael's, JoAnn's, Target, Wal-Mart, Office Depot, etc. I'd prefer something that's handmade "looking" in style.

The closest I've come to finding something I like (for an example) is Paper Prince. My ideal item is from Birchcraft, but it's from their "Handmade" line and it's over $800 for all the pieces!! Can't do that. I'd like to spend no more than $300ish for all pieces.

My colors are black, white & burgundy/wine.

Any suggestions?? Seen any great websites in your searching??

I know it's a challenging request, but it's my wedding, right? I just want to find that special piece. :) HELP!

Money always ends up being an issue. They are registered at the Bay, but what? Shall I bring some home-made wine? Can I get away with just being there (My cousins wedding). How do I do this without feeling like a heal?

I will be having a non-traditional wedding at a museum and we will be having a ceremony on the dance floor before dinner. All of our guests will be seated at their respective dinner tables during the ceremony. After the ceremony, we will eat dinner. Any ideas for something to do as a transition between the end of the ceremony and the beginning of dinner? I dont want it to be a weird transition after the judge presents us as a couple until the point where dinner is served. Thanks.

I'm getting married in less than a year and in the past two months that I've been engaged, I've broken down into tears (bawling, not just sniffles) multiple times because it's all so much stress. I love my fiance so much, but it really bothers me that I don't seem to get much out of the whole wedding plan thing as other girls that are planning their weddings. I'd love to elope, but that's out of the picture. I have no idea how to handle all the crap that goes along with getting married when all i want to do is BE married. The wedding just isn't really that important to me. Is there something wrong with me?

I am having a problem with the gift. I know it may be petty but I feel like I am jiping them. I dont have the money to give them so I made them a gift for the new house. Do you think that is ok? I did get a nice gift for the shower though, so I guess it balances out....

My fiance still lives with his parents. He told me the reason he has their name on the account is he travels alot for work. He helps them alot around the house, pays some of their bills, and even bought a brand new car for them when they already had a car. He even wanted to buy his mom the same car I liked. They sometimes deposit his paychecks & pay his bills. He tells me the mail will continue to go to his parents address after we get married. The reason he doesn't want to change his accounts is because the Bank will screw up his account. He wants the money I am earning be joint account with him. When I got upset & asked him. He said I missundersood & he will open an account with his & my name to pay bills. He is white Catholic & I am 34 years old East Indian Catholic. He told me that I am the one who is not trusting him & he will always love me & never leave me. His parents got upset because sat together in the couch & hugged each other. His mom treats him like a kid. Whad do I do?

Here is my first draft of my wedding vows, can you guys tell me what you think please. Thanks.

First I would like to thank you for loving me, and marrying me. You have brought more happiness to my life then I ever thought possible. You have given me a beautiful son, and you are such a wonderful father. Every time I watch you interact with our son, I fall deeper in love with you.
I have learned from you that I don't have to be perfect to be loved. You inspire me to be the best woman I can be for you, for me, and for us.
___, we have been through so much together over the years, and our love has stayed constant, strong, and continues to grow everyday. Today, I am honoured to take you as my husband. I promise to stand by you in whatever life throws at us, and to go through our journey in life together with complete honesty, acceptance and trust.

... or should I just shut up and go with what they tell me since it's their wedding and everything. I am also the photographer for the wedding and no amount of skill can cover up the fact that everyone will look ridiculous.

I am getting married in 5 weeks. We are having a big wedding with about 250 guests, but have decided to do things differently than everyone else and have no attendants. We have great friends, his family loves me to death, my family is crazy about him...everyone is psyched about this wedding. My mom is a little upset though because I have not had a bridal shower thrown. I told her that usually attendants do that and since I am not having any attendants, then there is no-one to throw one. She is still sad about it. what do you all think???
